Last night I stayed at a competitive, but cheaper in price, Hilton hotel. Considering this CY cost me twice as much (and they are only about 20 miles apart), I'm pretty disappointed in the CY. I arrived and they had apparently downgraded my room without any notification. I had to point it out and tell them I booked a king room. They did have an available room at least and moved us into it but did not adjust the rate. I purposely booked a king room at that specific rate so I could earn a reward with my credit card. Otherwise, I would have stayed at a slightly cheaper priced hotel. They finally fixed things the next morning, AFTER the bill was emailed to me and I realized their mistake. At check-in, they had no carts for my bags available and no help was offered. It's super fun to unpack a car by yourself with a five year old in tow. As for the room, it was small and crowded so theres not a lot of room to move around. It's loud in the rooms, you can hear everything including slamming doors. Not easy to fall asleep with that. There are no updates like charging docks; the TV is basic with like 40 channels (compared to the 400 plus channels I had at Hilton). Plus breakfast is not included and the bistro is too trendy for it's own good, and expensive. The pool was okay but felt dirty. On top of that, we apparently lost power at some point in the early hours and I woke up to a hot room with no air going. Then I spend the morning hours (from like 8-10 a.m.) listening to construction which turned out to be work being down on the parking lot. The best part of the pavement work was they had torn out a chunk of a section right next to my car so when I loaded my son in as we were leaving, I realized my passenger side with COVERED in mud (it had been raining). It was disgusting but at that point not worth unloading my child and trekking back in to complain. I was pretty much done with them at that point. Considering I'm paying so much for Marriott, I would expect more. What am I paying for, just the brand name? Because this is not up to par with what you expect at a Marriott. Just disappointed and don't feel like I got my money's worth. Definitely won't ever stay at this CY again and won't recommend...
Read moreI want to start off this review by saying in no way is this directed towards the staff that tried to help us during our trying stay this past weekend. Myself and many others stayed at this hotel for a wedding in West Bridgewater. We rented out the bridal suite to get ready in and the AC was broken. We quickly brought it to staffs attention and had somebody checking it out almost immediately. Before leaving, a staff member came in to tell us that we can leave the room exactly how it is, leave our belongings and we didnt have to worry about cleaning up as the room would be locked and nobody else would have access. We locked sliding doors and the door to the bridal suite when leaving. With that being said, myself and another person left our makeup bags in the room. There were other belongings as well but those seemed to stay put. Coming back from the wedding we asked a staff member to open the doors for us to collect everything and clean up. Everything was where it was besides the makeup bags. If you have purchased makeup/perfumes for yourself or somebody else, you can understand how expensive makeup is nowadays. Some new, some not so new but each bag contained well over $500s worth of items. We checked rooms multiple times and searched high and low, nothing. We brought this to staffs attention to figure out who accessed the room and they told us they weren't able to see since the manager was not on but they infact do not have cameras anywhere besides the lobby. Now my stuff has been stolen and they tell me they have no security? Not even outside in the parking lot. HUGE SAFTEY RISK. We filled out an incident report and went to Foxborough police station due to the price point of what was stolen. I woke up this morning to being fully charged for the hotel. Im not sure what will come out of this but for the love of god please do better Sonesta. I will be calling, I will be contacting higher ups for some sort of compensation for what Ive lost. I hope this review urges people to think twice at a hotel that has zero security surrounding the building and maybe possibly some staff that has...
Read moreWhere to begin. Booked this hotel to see a show at the xfinity center. It was about 5 miles away and cost just under $300 for one night. Walked in to three employees at the desk. One employee had to tell the other two multiple times that checking people in was more important than their conversation. I paid for an internal balcony view, got a view of the outside parking lot and road instead. Calling it a balcony would be very generous, could barely fit and I am not a large human. Not like the online pictures or description. We got into the room and wanted to put food in the fridge. Opened the fridge and it smelled like something had died in it, filled the entire room. Needless to say we didn't use the fridge. The pillows on the couch had "love stains" all over them. I know it's a hotel, but at least pretend to care. Outlets hanging out of the walls. The bathroom had no fan so try not to inhale the inevitable mold. Also, the sink is outside the toilet, so enjoy touching that door handle. The main reason I booked this hotel other than distance was to use the pool, which of course was shut down and not able to be used. It's so strange how you still pay full price for a hotel even if the amenities included in that price aren't available. If you need a bed for $300 and don't want to sleep in your car,...
