Review Summary: I am very disappointed with this restaurant and I wouldn't be surprised if it closes down in the next 6 months. The food was terrible, the service was terrible and it was extremely overpriced. I would avoid going here at all costs. Please read below for more details on why this place deserves a 1 star review.
I have been staying in Mansfield at the Hampton Inn for work for the past 2 weeks and have been going to a different restaurant each night. I was pretty hesitant to try this Shaking Crab due to all the bad reviews, but I tried to look past them and try it with an open mind.
When I arrived, there was only 1 other person eating in the restaurant, and the entire restaurant staff was hanging out in the dining room like it was the break room. This should have been my red flag to leave, but I was hungry and tired and didnt want to drive anywhere else.
I asked about the "all you can eat" option but found out that lobster tail was an additional $10 on top of the already expensive $55 meal. The waitress then recommended that I try the Deep Ocean boil combo instead, so I went with that.
My order came out relatively fast, however, it was not what I expected or anticipated. There was one small lobster tail, and only 1 cluster of crab legs and like 5 lbs of shrimp. There was also only 2 small pieces of soggy corn and only 2 potatoes in the bag with it. All of the food was soggy and there was barely any meat on the crab legs.
The waitress never once checked on me while I was eating and only stopped by when I was finished and she asked me how it was. I replied that it was decent but for $57, I was hoping for more crab legs and less shrimp. Her response was "oh ok" and gave me a dirty look and took my plate away. A reply of "I'm sorry, or let me take a few dollars off your bill" would have been nice. So if the waitress reads this review, I'm sorry I couldn't leave a tip for the reasons mentioned above.

Read moreRecently went for dinner there (Foxboro/Mansfield location). Our waitress was great and the food was great. That said, customer service is terrible, rude and disrespectful. When we sat at our table, we noticed that the music was VERY loud. Loud to the point we were shouting to speak to each other, even sitting across from each other at a small table. We asked the waitress if the music could be turned down a little. It was a good Playlist- but it was far too loud for the space. She turned down the music and we were enjoying our meal. Soon after, a very large crowd of older citizens came in and we noticed that the music was turned up, much higher than it even was originally! The waitress nicely came over and apologized that it was turned up - she said that 'the kitchen' had turned it up, because they couldn't hear it. What? WE, THE CUSTOMERS, can't enjoy our time here, eating, because it's so loud - but the 'kitchen' decides the music volume? There were also children sitting with their families- WE may have enjoyed the Playlist, but some of it was totally inappropriate for children. P#$$Y and D@!K lyrics - and VERY LOUD!! I can't imagine that the table filled with 6-8 'seniors' or the parents sitting with young children appreciated the lyrics or the volume the were forced to endure. We left the resteraunt, left a large tip for the waitress and are not sure we'll be back. If that was customer service - we'll go elsewhere. The 'I don't care about the customers comfort, it's the 'kitchen's' comfort that is the priority' kind of attitude that will make this place short-lived. We ordered two combos and a side order of fried calamari. We picked up our order; a 30 minutes' drive from our hotel. On this date, 02/13/22, we decided to eat at the hotel due to inclement weather. Upon arrival, we noticed that the two combos were missing, potatoes and corn and the side calamari; the total was $143. We called the restaurant; we were put on hold twice. Finally, Antonio said to be the highest rank Manager present, explained that we would have to drive back and pick up the missing items or a complimentary 10% off our next order. We then said that it was not feasible due to the road's condition. We also explained that we do not reside in MA, we would not return anytime soon; subsequently, I would rather have the 10% discount taken on this current order. The manager indicated that due to policy, it is not possible. I asked him was in the next option; he told me, "EAT WHAT WAS GIVEN TO YOU, THEN IF YOU CHOOSE NOT COME BACK, SO BE IT." When I asked about the fried calamari, he said we were not charged; I asked him if so, how would the food cost $143 before and after. He said he would not continue to repeat himself and re-explained. Inquired for another manager's email or phone number; none was provided. His answer was to go to the website for a formal complaint. Currently, as I am writing this, I have not been compensated.
