Jake n JOES Sports Grille - Foxboro — Restaurant in Foxborough

Went here for the first time this past Sunday for team building dinner with 20 coworkers. As far as I could tell place was at about 50% capacity. I understand places are short staff and I know I may have to wait a bit longer these days, but this was a first for me. We were seated for approximately 90 minutes and I never received the dinner I ordered. About half way through dinner the waitress came to the table to ask if there was anything else needed. I let her know I was still waiting on my dinner. Time went by, everyone finished eating and another waitress came back to clean off the plates. I told her to cancel my order at this point and remove it from the bill. The icing on the cake was a few minutes before we were leaving they bring out my order and say it was sitting in the back but somehow got misplaced. Do you really think I want something that has been sitting around for an hour??? Another appetizer was done the wrong way and was brought out during the middle of dinner. An order of pasta was also brought out with my order at the end that someone else never received during dinner. These are just a few of the complaints from others seated that evening. Feedback from coworkers was food was on par with Applebee's. For each negative review there is a standard response from management along the lines of "sorry we will learn from this experience". I'm surprised this lesson isn't already known but let me spell it out. Customer orders food, restaurant prepares and delivers the correct food in a timely manner, otherwise restaurant soon has no customers. Went in last night around 10:30 Ordered off the late night menu, a pizza half cooked soggy, with diced raw onion thrown on top as an after thought, Also ordered the Street Corn dip, stale cold chips, the dip itself was sour and not edible, mozzarella sticks, good the sauce was cold and there wasn’t enough. Greeted with “can’t trust the kitchen tonight because you don’t know what you will get” Really?? Should have listened to that red flag The next red flag was wanted diced peppers on our pizza response was” I wouldn’t because the cook may just throw a whole one on top” so we said forget it! I have been in the food service industry my entire life and have served and prepared food for thousands of people over the years and I wouldn’t even think of serving garbage like this to anyone. The so called cook if you want to call him that should be fired for not only embarrassing this restaurant but us as customers as well. With the ever rising costs in the restaurant business going up daily a restaurant can not afford to serve this quality of product and expect repeat customers We have eaten there many times and found everything to be very good. Last night was a total shock. Whoever is overseeing the kitchen should really focus on improving the quality and instill programs to ensure that the highest quality of food is served at all hours of the business day. Extremely Disappoint Food and Service - Will Not be Returning

We had one of the worst dining experiences I can remember at Jake n’ Joes. We ordered the Mixed Tower Appetizer Trio and the issues started immediately:

The burger sliders came with bacon we did not order — I’m allergic to bacon/pork. The wings were boneless when we specifically ordered bone-in.

When the sliders were remade, they came back with a 5-inch black hair melted into the cheese. At that point, the appetite was gone.

Our waitress made it very clear through her tone and body language that any request or correction (all of which were due to mistakes from the kitchen) was an inconvenience to her. When the manager came over, he did comp the appetizers, but by then the damage was done.

To make matters worse, other nearby patrons overheard and agreed they were also having issues with both the food and the service that day.

Between the repeated order errors, a serious food contamination issue, and the poor attitude from our server, I can confidently say we will not be returning — and I cannot recommend this location to anyone looking for a pleasant...
