I had a reunion with my daughter and 8 yr old granddaughter. On the day they were leaving me, my daughter noticed I didn’t have any toilet paper so she went into the hall and saw the cart with supplies on it. The housekeeper, Jelisa, wasn’t where my daughter could see her so she took a roll of toilet paper. The housekeeper came from around the corner and scolded my daughter for taking the roll of toilet paper. My daughter told her I didn't know where you were to ask you, so I figured it was just a roll of toilet paper. The housekeeper kept up her argument, being nasty and my daughter became very upset. She provoked my daughter. My daughter apologized and they started yelling at each other. I had to get in the middle of them as the woman now came at my daughter as if she was going to come into our room after her. This could have gone really wrong had I not gotten in between the 2 of them. I am elderly and disabled. I was able to calm the housekeeper down and my daughter went in the room. I was in tears by now. My daughter was walking down the hallway to leave with my granddaughter and the front desk clerk came upstairs to find out what all the yelling was about, and Jelisa started again carrying on loudly about my daughter taking the toilet paper off her cart. I spoke to three of the front desk clerks and each one said the housekeeper overreacted and taking a roll of toilet paper should not have been a big deal to cause this type of argument. The hotel refuses to do anything about it. The manager didn't return my calls for days and when he did, he said there is nothing he can do for me. He said he talked to Jelisa & told me what she said, of course her story isnt the same. She said I grabbed her hand. I did not. She said she knocked on the door…the door was open and she was trying to come in to get to my daughter pointing her finger in our faces. My daughter was trying to close the door. I never got to have a nice goodbye with my family. I went into my room and cried my eyes out…. On a good note, otherwise the hotel was ok. It is an older hotel but other than the pool being cloudy and having bugs in it, the hotel was satisfactory. Breakfast was good and the employees who did the breakfast were kind and helpful. The desk clerks were all kind and helpful. Daniel even spoke of the Holy Spirit to myself, my daughter and granddaughter. The Lord is being talked about in this hotel and what is better than that! Hallelujah thank You Jesus!! Corporate did apologize and wound up giving me 8,000 points on my account for the incident….over a ROLL OF...
Read moreWorst experience at a choice hotel. Room smelled musty....was extremely humid...wall crumbling above air conditioner. Sent my boys down to get bedding for pull-out....they came back with sheets n blanket. Clerk said she had no pillows. I went down to ask again. I insisted that she get pillows for pull-out since I clearly made reservations for 5 people which obviously meant we would use pull-out. She told me that she didn't have any pillows "down here." So, I asked could she not get some pillows from an empty room? She said she would try and to check back when we got back from dinner. I did and she had rounded up 2 pillows. I was furious that I had to stand there and BEG for pillows! I was humiliated! I proceeded to tell her that our room was left with only small pillows and it would be nice to get a couple more full-size b/c with my back problems, I need regular size pillows for support. She said that she would call "somebody" and see what she could do. I never heard from her, of course. I have never stayed at a comfort suites where the pillows were 1/2 size!
The next morning, we went down for breakfast only to find that many items were empty....waffle batter, apple juice, orange juice, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, only a few muffins and other breads/pastries very low. I went to desk to ask about the whereabouts of the attendant. I was told by the desk clerk that she would "find her." After 10-15 minutes, no one had arrived to fill up food. My husband went into kitchen and brought out the waffle batter himself. My husband and 2 children had to leave for scuba lessons so we did not have extra time to wait. I went back to the front desk and was told again, I will find her. After about 10 minutes, the attendant came. She apologized and said that she was taking out the garbage which spilled out and she had to pick it up. She proceeded to put out some food. My daughter put a few things on her plate that needed to be warmed. She went over to use the microwave and came back to tell me that someone had a big white container in there. I went to look and there was the big container of biscuits being warmed by the attendant! Why would the attendant use the microwave that was specifically there for use by guests???? Once again, we had to wait to warm our food!!!!! This was extremely stressful and infuriating.
We chose to stay at comfort suites for the extra bed and adequate breakfast. Needless to say, this was the worse experience we've had at a...
Read moreWORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN BY FAR!! I rarely leave a one-star review. I even waited 2 weeks to write my review so as to ensure my anger and disgust over the experience I had at this hotel wasn't the only cause of this review. My reason for writing this review is to try to keep anyone else from having the same experience I had. I'll just start at the beginning: 1)Making the reservation by phone the day prior to my stay: the hotel receptionist was very rude to me after I asked for a less expensive room because I didn't need the king suite for just me and my toddler, the response was " if you want a cheap room you should stay in a motel." 2) checking in the next day: very inappropriate behavior by the receptionist, who I presume to be the same person who I had spoken with while making reservations: I felt like I had been approached by a jehovas witness with all the unnecessary talk of religion. I was all but asked to profess my faith in Jesus ( I am a person of faith but even I know this behavior was unprofessional) 3) walking into my hotel room: at first I was pretty satisfied with the room, until walking into the bathroom. There was very noticeable fecal matter smeared on the toilet seat and after telling the same receptionist, I was told it didn't look that bad and said receptionist would just come clean it up but "they'll have to wait until they get time". Wasn't even offered a different room. And lastly, 4) the next morning: Checkout time is 11 am. So there shouldn't have been a disturbing loud knock which wake me and my toddler up 3 hours early and... not only that, when I didn't come to the door, the perpetrator took it upon themselves to use their handy dandy universal room key to allow themselves into my room. I presume that it was housekeeping but Noone can really be sure as not a word was spoken, nobody yelled "housekeeping!!" They just walked right in!!!! I, being the momma bear that I am shouted "Excuse me!!??" And they left but this entire time I didn't see anyone because of how dark the room still was and they never said a single word!! This was, hands down, the ABSOLUTE WORST hotel experience I have EVER had. And you know what? I'm not naming any names because personally, the fault lies on the managers for hiring the type of unprofessional and rude staff...
