The Downtown House — Hotel in Galena

What an awesome home to rent close to everything! You can walk right out for coffee, lunch and drinks anytime! Beautifully decorated and so cozy. Our top favorite was Hannah the next door dog, our porch buddy and favorite girl on our girls trip! We hated to leave her. She was the sweetest thing ever! Lauren was amazing to rent from! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was there for us including coffee! I had left my good sunglasses (Maui Jim's) that my boys had given me for Mother's Day at Miss Kitty's and they were not open the next day when I left. I called and they had them, thank goodness as I was sick about it and Lauren went to get them for me and mailed them to me. Lauren’s place was incredible ! You can’t beat the location - right in downtown Galena. Walkable to everything. Such a great spot ! The house was pristine. She even had a cute stand on the bathroom with toiletries available. She had a bowl of candies in a dish for our group to enjoy. A sweet touch to welcome us all to her place. Cutely decorated - loved being in a historic home. Perfect for a ladies weekend away. We would stay here again anytime. Street parking was easy to find & we had no problem finding a great spot near her home. Would love to come back in warmer weather and sit on the adorable porch with chairs overlooking...

What a quaint, well appointed and maintained historical home! The owners are some of the nicest people we’ve met and made sure our stay was very comfortable. Parking can be hard to find in Galena but included in the rental fee is a guaranteed, private parking space, which provided a sense of relief.

This home is within walking distance to the town of Galena where you can take in all the beautiful architecture, wonderful shops, eateries & river.
