The reason I chose this location over one that was similarly priced was because they reported to serve breakfast. I was sorely disappointed with the room. When I checked in the outside temp was in the 40' and the overnight temperature dropped into the 20's. You would think that the heater in the room would be going ahead of time, especially since I called ahead and reserved the room. Nope. I turned the heater on and up to 75. The room was still cold in the morning. The entire room is sorely outdated and grungy. Tiles in the bathroom were loose and broken and there were shoe prints on them that were not from my shoes. The stick on carpet tiles in the room area was misaligned and had gaps to the tile floor below it. No outlets anywhere near the single bedstand in the king bed room. I had to do some fancy rearranging just to be able to plug in my CPAP. Nevermind my phone. The only outlet by the fridge did not have enough locations to plug the fridge, micro and coffee pot all in at the same time. The wifi was slow. I didn't do any streaming on is as it was to slow to do updates on my laptop. Location close to the interstate was nice, but I could hear the train from my room. The office is unmanned and locked. I had to call to have someone come check me in and then he didn't ask before running the card that I had used to reserve the room. Not sure why Wyndham should partner with this place, as it doesn't live up to...
Read moreTRAVELERS BEWARE- very bad area near the tracks. Overrun with shady folk. Travelodge office was closed, even though we arrived during business hours posted on their door. They posted a sign to check in at Days Inn next door. We were so exhausted, we went against our better judgement and decided to stay anyway.
We thought parking our truck with U-Haul trailer would be safe enough since we left it directly in front of Days Inn office window- their front desk faced and literally had open view of our vehicle through a large, curtain free window. We awoke the next morning to find that the local miscreants had broken into our camper shell and stolen about half of our belongings stored in there. We're relocating cross country- I dont have much, but there goes a large part of my kitchen and clothing.
When reporting this to the front desk, he responded by looking down, said he doesn't have access to the security cam footage and " well.. I'm real sorry bout that.." makes me wonder if the staff were in cahoots with those who made of with our stuff.
I don't even wanna get into how dirty the room was.
Never again. Def spring for the pricier room in a better lit area, though I recommend just pushing through the extra miles to get to either Albuquerque or Cortez....

Usually my experience at motels in Gallup is much better than average but stubbed my toe on this dump. First off, the pics on the site do not represent the actual condition of the rooms. The two we happened to see were dirty and in a state of disrepair.
Now let's get to the smell....the first room we got assigned smelled like rigor mortis had set in somewhere under the bed. Spent about 15 seconds in the room before the death odor became too overwhelming to bear. The front desk person then assigned us another room which wasn't much better but at least we able to tolerate it for a few hours sleep. Plus we were tired and the room was prepaid, but never again here.
Di yourself a favor and bypass this dump. Plenty of other...
