STAY AWAY!!!.. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!! These people DO NOT answer the phone and DO NOT honor their reservations!! I checked in for 2 nights. Gasper told me he would give me a discount due to the room I wanted not being available. The next morning the Asian lady at the front desk told me i needed to check out.. I was like what!!? 😳.. My reservation was for 2 nights and was quoted at $176 total.... But to be honest being put out was a God send.. But I still had to let them know how I felt... The GASPER guy is a total liar! He said he was giving me a discount at $125 total due to the room i wanted being remodeled😕...😒. So I'm like.. Ok I'm here for personal business last minute I just need some where safe to sleep. Nice garden ok🤷🤦.. I'll try to overlook the HORRIBLE SMELL and the hard azz boxspring mattress.. Dated bathroom with pink tile flooring from the 70s and a bathtub you have to wear flip flops in😒 and that HORRIBLE FOUL MILDEW SMELL!! But let's continue...😒 The GASPER guy is the one I FINALLY got on the phone for a late check in because I knew I was going to be arriving late.. HE WAS THE ONE THAT CHECK ME IN THE NIGHT B4!! He got in front of the Asian lady and said "I did not tell you that. It was only for one night (DreamGirl) and I have not been here for 2 weeks😏... It wasn't me. You have to check out".. I was like 😳 GLOVES OFF!!😒 YOU thought I was going to pay $125 a night for this place!!!?😒.. Showed them my reservation for 2 nights and also showed them how much you can book their hotel for online currently which was $88 a night😒 AND THEY OR HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $125 A NIGHT!!? I asked him was he trying to steal from the hotel because why would you try and charge me more than what my reservation said OR WHAT YOU'RE CURRENTLY CHARGING ONLINE😒 NOT only that you never sent my receipt last night but my card was charged🤔😒.. Made no sense but ME AND MY 🍷 WINE🍷 HAVE BEEN PUT OUT OF BETTER PLACES THAN THIS!!!😒 I said I would gladly go as soon as my receipt and refund hit my email and card. The receipt hit but my refund didn't...hmm🤔... Went back to the front desk and REITERATED. I am NOT leaving until I have my receipt AND REFUND have hit! FASTEST CHECK OUT EVER!!! Went back to my room which was right by the front desk and the refund was on the card b4 I got to my room...... LOCKED my card and GLADLY left... I got in at almost midnight and I had driven hours, so I stayed despite the smell. And I also had spray and my own sheets.. I forgot my bath gloves.... Towels stink as well....😭..Bring spray if you think you can endure🤕😷 your own towels and sheets as well. I was going to keep my bad decision to myself and chalk it up as a mistake made by me but when you are untruthful and not honoring reservations and try to charge me like I'm using my Hilton Honors!!!😒 I gotta tell it!🤷 Yall can do what you want🤷.....BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! It's not worth the savings.. TRUST ME!!.. But if you think you can endure..... MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!✊ cuz you...
Read moreAfter staying at the Hyatt in Long Beach, we needed just one nights stay in Gardena before heading home. Two hotels we previously looked into, were not very clean and one was full of patrons smoking in the front by the large lobby entrance. I phoned the Hotel Pacific Garden to inquire about vacancy, and the gentleman working that night was so incredibly friendly and courteous. He gave me very good directions to the hotel and when we arrived, he greeted us with a smile and amazing assistance. This hotel is Japanese owned and run, and that being said, it is very clean, comfortable, and nice location. Only downfall I know of is that there are no elevators to the second floor, (there are only two floors), so you will have to carry your luggage upstairs yourself. Still, it is only maybe about 10 - 15 steps if I remember correctly, so not so bad. The rooms are not overly brightly lit in evening time, but comfortable all the same. There is a coffee maker with coffee/tea for your convenience. We did not have an iron in our room, however, during this time we did not need one so not sure if they provide them. Water pressure is great! (just had to mention as some places are terrible). There are not any fabulous views from any of the rooms as you are only two floors up and in a predominantly residential area, but it's okay. The hotel is nice and quiet, so rest was great! We were given a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning, that you walk over to the restaurant behind the hotel, and it is ready for you at your time choice! For example, when we checked in, we were asked if we would like breakfast 'to go' or to 'eat in'. I chose 'to go' so I could bring it back to the hotel room. You also choose at what time you would like your food ready so it is cooked, packaged, and ready to walk out with as soon as you enter the restaurant! That was a plus and, it was good but you must like Japanese food or else you have to go elsewhere to eat. It's included in the price of your stay so I liked it. This hotel is older, building wise, but decorated as if you are in someone's home, if that makes sense, yet, it is pleasant. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful. There are 'suites' which are not 'attached' to the hotel building and are similar to little duplexes with little patio areas and nice little garden area to eat or relax in. No swimming pool and I don't think there was any gym there but I could be wrong. All in all, for the price, it was very good, safe, quiet, and friendly place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you are...
