I booked this hotel on price and www pictures. It is relatively close to to major expressways (2 miles either way to 405 and 105) and located near a main intersection in the heart of Gardena. It a two storey, long narrow building stretching back from the road, so the further back you get, the quieter it is. I was three rooms from the front on the second floor and it was pretty quiet even by my standards (I live on a quiet acreage). The exterior of the building is a little worse for wear, the reception counter a little too secure and the hallways are long and tunnel like, so I was wondering what I had got myself into. I was pleasantly surprise to find the room to be well kept and moderately appointed. It would rival most any chain's economy level rooms. The bed was a moderately firm kingsized unit. There was a small round dining table, microwave and refrigerator, but not lounge chair or couch. There was no closet and the hangers on the coat rack were missing. The TV was a 32" tube type with 120 channels which worked well, though the remote packed it in the second day. The bathroom was freshly painted and tiled, however the toilet seat needed replacement as the paint on its surface was wearing off. All lights worked, however there were no table lamps next to the bed. The telephone worked, however its receiver appears to have an intermittent connection problem. There was no charge for outgoing calls. There was no pool. The AC worked fine. Parking was in a lot that is fenced and appears secure. It and all public areas of the inn are video monitored. This place has a resident staff which appears to be a family. They seem to take pride in what they do, though they were not as available as I would have liked (seemed not to hear bell or phone).||||This part of Gardena seems to be lower middle class with a predominance of small homes. The streets are lined with small businesses, hotels, eateries, new and used car dealerships and a couple of small box malls. I felt safe walking around and people...
Read moreThe place is horrible I wouldn't recommend anyone go there the price is to high and they don't change the sheet I sat out side looking at them clean the room and all the lady did was vacuum and make the bed without putting on clean sheets or covers.. That's a spot where there is a lot of prostituting and drug selling going on the the guy who runs the place is very rude when I told him about my room not being cleaned he got very upset and throw my money at me and told me to leave I have never been so disrespected in my life.. I will never ever go there again and wouldn't recommend anyone go there.. Now there is a motel that is up the street from there called Redondo beach inn now that place is nice and clean also very quiet with good wifi you can get all your work done they also give you a continental breakfast in the morning with coffee the price is very reasonable and I am going to go...
Read moreI felt that this place was a decent, clean family run place that was friendly. There was no lounge nor continental breakfast, but the area to me didn't seem very ghetto. There are seemingly decent Asian restaurants in walking distance, a CSV, a target store about a half mile away and an albertsons food store maybe two miles away.||||The rooms are simple but will cost a lot less than a big chain hotel, of which there are a bunch. I have simple needs, am not fussy and would prefer not to pay too much. Don't confuse this motel with the Sunset inn next door, which seemed less friendly.||||I was a bit concerned about the outside access doors and security issues therefrom, but felt that the area was pretty decent, so didn't worry about it and felt it was actually good value. Los Angeles is expensive...
