Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever been too. Upon check in we noticed a flickering light at the staircase which was a nice introduction to the horror that unfolded. There is a large exposed wire in the stairway hanging from the ceiling. We had a room on the 3rd floor. The hallway was absolutely disgusting, the carpets terrible. There were 3 breaker boxes that were all open and had no locks on them. The hallway fire extinguishers indicated they had not been checked since 2019. One end of the hall had a nasty, dirty, wore out chair that just made the terrible look worse. Upon entering our room we tripped on a trash can that was right in the door way. There was missing floor planks and large gaps in the rest of the flooring planks, lots of duck tape holding parts of the baseboards to the walls, huge scratches on the floors, worn nasty furniture and lots of mispatched paint in random places. There was a desk table in the closet that was disgusting and had no chair. The only chair in the room was a match to the nasty hall chair, you couldn't pay me to sit on it. Our smoke detector was completely covered in plastic, and remember, the fire extinguishers on our floor had not been checked since 2019 so have they were going to fire we would have been out of luck. I was traveling alone with my daughter and there was no safety lock on the door and the door locked we did have didn't see very secure. I brought all of these issues to the attention of the front desk attendant and she seemed so surprised by my concerns. I advised her that the room looks nothing like the photos on their website or Expedia and she said that's not possible. I told her about the fire extinguishers and she said I must be wrong because they would have been checked. When I told her about the open breaker boxes she said it wasn't important because someone was to mess with them she could fix it downstairs where she was at. I also let her know about the plastic wrap covering the smoke detector in my room and she looked at me like she didn't believe me and said she didn't know why it would be there. I told her there was multiple OSHA and fire violations in the hotel and it showed a huge lack of concern for the safety of their guest. I asked her if I could get a discount on the room because we had nowhere else to stay, many places were sold out and other prices were way too high. She said she would have to speak with upper management and she would call them and for me to check in in 10 minutes. When I came back to check in she said management said they would not give me a discount but that if I had not touched anything in my room they could give me a full refund and I could leave. I told her this was not an option if we had nowhere else to go I'm a mom with a child alone. She again told me there was nothing they could do to help and I asked if she had another room to move me to and she said it was booked by somebody else but they had an arrived yet so she gave me the room. Surprisingly this room was in way better condition than the initial room we were put in it was almost like it was a completely different hotel. I'm guessing because they were sold out we were giving it out of service room or a room they use as a last resort. In the middle of the night they attempted to draw $80 for my bank account and in the morning could not explain to me what it was for. I still have not received my deposit back and in the morning I talked to a different friend as person who again would do nothing to help me. Do not ever stay at this hotel it is literally worse than a...
Read moreI liked how so much to walk to such as Target, numerous restaurants, Honda, and way further a few blocks (eastbound, I believe), you can do errands at a post office, laundromat, grocery store, and so on. What isn't so great is it's on a busy street so if you have trouble sleeping, or you want QUIET, this is not for you. Also, forgot to tell someone at the front desk that my room fridge was not even functioning. I only stayed quiet because I didn't think I'd store anything else other than a hot/cold pack for my knee or back I brought along in case I thought it might help. Also, they do have vending for a laundry room but it was out of detergent, and I had clothes that weren't in a condition to fly home with without washing them, so I took a Lyft to the laundromat next to Aldi. Anyways, not sure if I'll try a nonsmoker room next time. Maybe if I were on a 2nd floor, it might be slightly less traffic noise but I'm totally not sure. Yes, my room was a smoking one in case a certain friend of mine stopped by. I had 1 of my visitors who was also from out of town visit my room for a few minutes. Yes. The stench from the smoke was not too great. It was nice having the TV, though, their wifi was a bit iffy (at first it wouldn't let me connect to anything without Google Chrome warning me that it's unsecured or dangerous in some way, if it even let me connect at all). Anyways, it was awesome for the location. The mattress was comfy enough to help me sleep deeply. It's just if you're awake or have trouble staying asleep, and you have no earbuds or earplugs, you will hear all the cars driving. I'll try to remember to tell the desk next time if I get a fridge that isn't even on though...
