Overall, a nice hotel, however, a few things that did disappoint. Pros: •Right next to a cracker barrel, which has wonderful staff and the food was good. •The staff at the hotel were all very, very, nice and accommodating. We didn't bring any complaints to their attention, but I'm sure if we had, they would have been kind and helpful. • Nice fitness room. • Free parking. • Variety of breakfast options. •Walkable distance to outlet mall (outlet mall is underwhelming though.) And to the cracker barrel and a steak and shake. • The room was overall well kept, bed and pillows were very comfortable. •Fridge in room. Cons: • Room was musty and had some mold, (which sadly we didn't notice until our last night, of a 6 night stay.) • Pool is very small, would be uncomfortable to swim with other people in it. • The floor outside of the bathroom would get incredibly wet from the mustiness of the room, or humidity from the shower, which was slippery and kind of gross. • We would want to keep the room cool because of the mustiness and the Florida humidity, but the blankets were very thin, so it would get freezing at night, or we'd have to deal with the mustiness. •Microwave in the lobby instead of the room. Which, I can mostly understand, but it was a nuisance to have to go out of the room to warm up food, vs just having it in the room. • Thin walls/doors. We could hear children yelling and screaming, running down the hallway and dogs barking.
Mostly, all the cons were things we could live with. Except the mold, had we noticed sooner, we definitely would have switched rooms right away. We both ended up with having bad headaches and getting a little stuffy, especially on the days we were there the majority of the day.
I would come back to the hotel in the future, I would just make sure to check the room for mold and maybe ask for an...
Read moreThis Hampton Inn was a great one. What made this one great was the people. Let me cover that first. The ones whom truly made my day and was FIRST Class is Sabrina, Victoria (Vickey) Patricia, Priscilla and Cheryl, These ladies are TOP NOCH stellar in customer service and have golden smiles and personality!!! They literally made me feel like I was in a larger fancy hotel in NYC. Not only that with the type of long term travel we do they also provide such an inviting place to return too! EVERYONE was good also. no one to complain about. The place was for the most part very clean 😀 which I like. I also want to mention Sharon and April the breakfast crew , great pleasant ladies which we don't always get at places we go to which changes the whole breakfast experience. Oh and want to mention Scotty not sure his position but he was kind and the maintenance man Bradley.
It's great there's an Outlet Mall, Cracker Barrel and Steak n Shake nextdoor.
Great service. Great pool tucked away for privacy and very clean!!!! Well stocked gym with weights! Yummy breakfast 😋 Clean. Smells good when you enter building! Helpfulness!
Things to work on: THE MAIN THING this property doesn't have and it was inconvenient to us for our long term travel business needs was NO laundry onsite. will mention the only thing and literally THE ONLY thing I would suggest is change the bed protection covers I saw that it's definitely time or was at least in my room. The elevators need freshing up to smell better. The bathroom we had , had a backed up tub 😞 that they attempted to fix but it didn't work.
Overall this place was great and I would highly recommend it because of the great people and...
Read moreI made a reservation via the app, I opted for the mobile room key bc that is an option contactless check in. I never got the key so I called and asked for the mobile key, I was told I should not have been able to book a room because the hotel is completely booked because of Labor Day and there was a baseball game the next day, I was told that I should not have been assigned that room because someone else was already assigned to that room. I was told that my reservation would be canceled and that I would not be charged. Well I was charged, I called and spoke to the "general manager" Nick who told me I confused, I never called the hotel, I spoke to customer service and customer service transferee me to the wrong hotel. He said that I did stay in the room. I asked him to produce evidence that I went into the room , show me on video where I came got a key and stayed in the room. There is hotel technically where you can see when a room was accessed and who accessed with the time! I stay A LOT at Hilton bc I travel a lot, to be treated like this called A liar is unacceptable. Nick is not a person that should deal with any other people in a customer service role. He is VERY RUDE, has NO guest relations knowledge, he kept cutting me off not allowing me to speak a complete sentence. He needs to be retrained on Courtesy, Listening and company policy and procedures! I will NEVER even look at this Hampton to think about staying. This is unacceptable! I will follow this review up with an email...
