We came here yesterday during shift change I think and was seated and not greeted for 10 mins to which one of the two severs in that section realized and finally greeted us, the manager then came over and apologized. The sever redeemed our experience so much that we came back today for breakfast and horrible is all I can use to describe dining. Austin greeted us briefly did not say his name. I asked for biscuits he said “he has to have our food order first then he can bring out biscuits, so I called the manager over and asked if we could get the biscuits since we got them with our food yesterday instead of before he said of course. Came back with biscuits, then our server came over asking us for our food order. As he kneeled down at the table I gave him my food order as I used my finger to spread jam on my biscuit because he did not provide us silverware. After he ran to two other tables and still did not bring silverware out or check in with us I asked another server for silverware. I was pondering walking out then to go somewhere else but I was holding out for the amazing French toast that I grew up loving. Only to take one bite and taste nothing but crunchy burnt ends. Flipped it over to find it burnt. Between the service and now the one thing I was looking forward to being inedible I was DONE!!!! For a sever with four stars on his apron I expected better hell I expected bare minimum and didn’t get that. We were treated like a sale not like family. Cracker barrel is not what it used to be. I’m 32 and my generation has little patience for rudeness. The only positive about this experience was the store and the ladies walking around. There was a woman I spoke to who was very understanding and empathetic to my concerns. I am grateful for her customer service and hearing me out even though it was not her fault.

It’s the same atmosphere same decor and all, however, I’ve noticed the quality of the food has declined. We stopped in Vero Beach to grab a quick breakfast on the way to the airport. Staff was super friendly and atmosphere was good. Not busy at all. We placed our order for breakfast (4) of us. 2 ordered of scrambled eggs and order of 2 eggs over medium all three got bacon and hash brown casserole on 2 and grits on the other. Gravy and one order of sausage with a biscuit. It took way longer that it should have for this type of order and once it got to our table, all three orders of bacon were undercooked, the eggs over medium had one of the times busted and were both still raw. We sent the bacon back, I should have sent the eggs back, and it looked like they put the bacon in the fryer! So now it’s overcooked and at this point t we are out of time so we eat what we can and head out. The gray was cold and the biscuits were too hard/over cooked! The HB casserole was not good / Luke warm and the grits while warm had begun to stiffen up like they dipped them up and the just sat in the bowl waiting on the rest of the order to be done. Cracker Barrel you are now not my first option for breakfast or anytime after today. Close to $50 for our check and we were super disappointed. We did leave the waitress a good tip as it was not her fault. Had we not been in a hurry I would have sent more of it back to the kitchen and should have asked for the manager. I understand that everyone has a bad day this one was times 4.

Big town meal in a small town atmosphere! This is the place to go, whether you're on your own or with a group, needing a break from a long drive or going out to celebrate, a breakfast nosh or filling dinner! The best part about CB, besides the expansive menu and homey vintage atmosphere, is the giant Notions, Potions, Olde Time & The Latest shoppe as you enter! It has Everything you didn't know you couldn't live without, and affordably priced. (I bought a battery motion snowman snow globe that swirls glitter. It will have to be on display allll year through - my toucan stares at it, hours on end...mesmerized.) The coffee mug section has one with the perfect message for everyone you know, and the comestibles area is like taking a trip back in time, treats and goodies I grew up with...before the turn of the century. The folks there are fabulous, the fireplace cozy and the food both comforting and downright yum! It's vintage kitsch decorations make you feel like you're in 'Mayberry RFD,' to a place where everyone knows everyone and is welcome to c'mon in a sit a spell! When you're all done, and walk out to their front porch, you're invited to do just that...on the line up of old fashioned Rocking Chairs! Sit and enjoy the air as your satisfying meal settles on in. And if you play checkers, there's an oversized game set up on a barrel, also waiting to bring you back to childhood days....and we'll worth the trip!

We were a party of four and my husband and I grew up going to this location and naturally there are a lot of people from out of State and out of the Country even that are coming in to eat because i-95 is right there and you can see it from the windows but we came in just before 5:00 and the parking lot was empty so I said this is perfect timing! So we go inside and somehow it's very busy inside although the parking lot was empty and we were seated and after maybe 5 minutes we ordered our drinks and then they came & she didn't have straws so she had to go get straws and there was no silverware on the table which is fine because we're patient and I can see it's a little busy so people were coming in AFTER us and ordering way AFTER us and getting their food and eating and on their way out and then finally the waitress basically tossed a basket of cornbread and biscuits onto the table and said "here's some bread" and my husband said where is our food and she says oh, it's on its way and we waited about another 20 minutes and we finished our drinks and me and my youngest son went and sat outside and my husband being honest went and got in line and paid for our drinks and nobody apologized and they didn't even have the decency to compensate our drinks but it's just frustrating when you are sitting there and place your order and have two hungry kids and you're waiting over an hour and I would imagine anyone could understand our frustration but next time we'll just go to Golden Corral or something and I know the owner probably could not care less about reviews like this because they make a killing off of the older people living in the area and I look at the responses to the negative reviews and it's very 'copy and paste' same answer to everybody like oh, no, visit us at this website to tell us more and I feel like the reviews are good enough for people that are wondering how this particular location is so they lost some regulars today and everyone loves the gift shop but not today and probably not again for a while. I kind of felt bad because it was my suggestion for Cracker Barrel but we wound up with hot and fresh Popeye's Chicken and red beans and rice and seasoned fries and macaroni and cheese and biscuits and so on. Hope this helps if you're cutting through...

We visited about 4:30 in the afternoon after a brutal day on I-95 and were greeted and promptly seated. Our server (Kelly) was right there to take our drink orders and gave us just the right interval to decide on dinner. My wife had the turkey and dressing with a side of tasty sweet potato casserole and I selected the chicken pot pie. Kelly returned literally moments later with our dinners and we both commented that our entrees could have passed for a home cooked meal, due to the taste and quality of the food. We are retired military and as a result have eaten at Cracker Barrels all over the Eastern US, and today's meal probably ranked in the top three meals we've enjoyed at this chain in the past 25 years. (We've never had a really bad experience, but this location really stands out.) Thanks to our meal and Kelly's tremendous customer service we departed refreshed for the remaining two hours of our journey. We will return on future visits to the area. Update: So, back we are! Nothing changed from our previous visit except today we had the pleasure of having Kassandra taking care of our requests. A delightful and attentive young lady whose four stars signify a ton of experience. Thank you, Kassandra, our chicken & dumpling and BLT lunch was delicious! Update 2; Unfortunately on today's visit my companion's chicken tenders were cold and tough. My cheeseburger was tasty and hot, and Delilah graciously comped my companion's meal without being asked. Couldn't ask for better hospitality, but only a 50% score for the kitchen. Despite this, we will try them again. Update 3: After a disasterous prior visit last October which was not reviewed, we had the pleasure to have Jamie as our server on a recent visit. Top notch service with a smile and excellent attention to all her customers. She is the standard by which we will evaluate all future servers at this location. Fast, considerate, attentive, all delivered like we were the only people in the restaurant, which we were most assuredly not during midwinter tourist season in Vero. She has restored our faith in this location and I hope we get her...
