I am concerned Resto's many recent changes to the infrastructure of the company will alienate most of their present and future clients. Sad, as I have been a fan for years. However, I have noticed significant and unjustifiable price increases for items they have carried for years. As for the Outlet...not much of a bargain there. You are getting a slim discount on something that was priced less with no discount a year ago. Also, you must piecemeal or repair most of the items (or put up with a noticeable dent or scratch) all for a "discount" that is not significantly lower than their new "member" pricing. Just my opinion, the whole pay to be a member program doesn't seem like a very good idea. I think they are overreaching with their grandiose galleries and sky rocketing prices. I don't think Restoration Hardware has considered the notion that there are only so many people out there that want to spend that kind of money on very stylized heirloom furniture- meaning...what'll happen when all the homeowners who unwittingly are willing to shell out $$$$$ for their homes are finished being furnished??? They'll be no one left to keep the ship afloat. Prediction: the company will struggle until going "private" again or until they close their doors...
Read moreI can not believe the rudeness of the lady who greeted me at the front door. Asked me what I was looking for a said they didn't carry what I was looking to purchase. It was 10 minutes until costing time and I asked if I could walk around for a few minutes and she informed me that I had 5 minutes! I stumbled upon bath towels in a color I had previously purchased and was looking at the bath mats. A very kind young man working on the floor mentioned to me that all tub mats where 50% off. I was buying two and two bath towels in the color I wanted. When I was checking out I was once again assisted by the rude young lady. I mentioned the discount on the tub mats and she assured me I was incorrect. I was looking at her in disbelief, why was she being so rude to me... Other people where wondering around the store and she wasn't pushing them out the door, or hovering over them. What a disappointing experience since I have purchased quite a bit from this store for our "Beach House". Having grown up in this town and presently living up North I am disappointed by her lack of politeness, customer service, and...
Read moreVery friendly and helpful staff! This large warehouse-style store displays a meager variety of sofas, dressers, night tables, and sofas but only a fraction of what RH offers overall. Myth 1: “RH furniture is only large pieces designed for palatial homes.” I was surprised to learn that RH can offer most all future items in a variety of styles, colors, and fabrics, as well as a good choice of sizes suitable for any household. Myth 2: “RH furniture is expensive.” Nope! You can buy a sofa at a “regular” furniture store for about $1,700 and have it for 5 years—-if you’re lucky. At RH, most sofas made to fit the average-person’s home would cost about $3,000 to $4,000 but you’ll have it for many years because of the exceptional quality. I have finally realized that RH is the only furniture provider I’ll choose for furniture for...
