My family of three stayed here for one night (July 7, 2021) on our way through town. The rate was half of what the rest of the decent hotels were charging, and I decided to give it a try. It is under new management, and has benefited from what appears to be a fresh coat of paint inside the hotel. Unfortunately the residual odor of former smoking inside greets you as you enter the lobby, but with the fans running in the rooms, the smell of cigarette smoke fades noticeably. I hope they can clear the odor completely with the forthcoming renovations. The rooms are outdated but clean, and for the price, who cares about the outdated furniture? I was told there will be more extensive renovations this winter. I am optimistic about the potential for this hotel as the new owners have time to make changes and upgrades. The WiFi was poor, and didn’t work at all in the morning. The deadbolt on our door took quite an effort to latch into its slot, but when I mentioned it to the guy at the desk on our way out, he made a note of it and I got the sense that he would see that it got fixed. We were given bottled water at check in and the two staff members we interacted with at check in and check out were helpful and friendly. There was a refrigerator and microwave in our room, which I appreciate. Towels were typical hotel towels, and there were little soaps and shampoos. The television worked and had lots of channels. I did not expect much in the way of coffee (who does at a budget hotel, anyway?) but I was pleasantly surprised to find a Keurig with a variety of coffee pods and a nicely arrayed setup with the fixings for coffee. A tray of donuts would have been nice, but again, it’s a budget hotel and I paid $60. There was nothing to eat, only coffee and hot water, but the coffee was good and I hadn’t expected breakfast. Everything was very clean. If you need a place to stay for a night and you’re not picky about decor, I recommend this hotel at its...
Read moreHere in Glendive for a couple months for work(back and forth). Initially booked through a third party. Upon check in I explained my situation and asked if there were any special rates we could work out. The staff/I assume owners went to work offering several different options as to how to accommodate me and my two dogs, giving very reasonable rates for the foreseeable future. Crazy friendly and inviting! Best experience I ever had with hotel folk. So great. Get up to my room and upon first glance seems pretty normal for a two star hotel. Then I look around and they have amenities out the wazoo. Extra blankets on the rack, brand new chairs, very comfy beds, newer fridge and microwave, outlets for everything(usb, type-c, some wierd one I've never seen but cool, and about 30 120 plug in options), etc. The rooms are very clean, modern and make you feel like you're in much more expensive lodging situation.
From what I gather this hotel is under new ownership and at the time of this review is undergoing some new renovations, which cut out some of the other things it will have to offer, but wow I was super impressed and had to write this lengthy review praising the progress. Keep it up! New standard, and also they're cleary American...
Read moreI and my family recently stayed at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Candy, the front desk manager, greeted us with a big smile and plenty of energy. She was super friendly and polite, maybe a little too eager to chat. Let’s just say if you’re in a rush, be prepared for a mini TED Talk at check-in (in the nicest way possible!).
The room was spacious, very clean, and had all the essentials for a short stay. No robes or slippers, but the mini-fridge and microwave were handy. We also appreciated the soundproof walls and windows. It was blissfully quiet inside. The only hiccup was the wall-mounted AC, which sounded like it was trying a bit too hard to keep the room cool.
Breakfast was a highlight, especially for a health-conscious traveler. The spread included fat-free Danone yogurts (thank you for the healthy option!), bananas, apples, instant oatmeal, flavored pancakes, bread, orange juice, coffee, and even small eclairs for a sweet touch.
All in all, the stay was fantastic, far better than expected, especially for the price. Great value, comfortable rooms, and a front desk manager who could probably host her own podcast (and the front desk manager in the morning was great and...
