So what started off as a pleasant and inviting hospitality has quickly become uncomfortably questionable. So let's start with the good. Parth did a fantastic job welcoming and registering us. He was the highlight of our stay. That's where it ends. When we got to our room it was easily 90°f and the AC thermostat was broken and showed no display. When we called and let him know he said it goes on and off. We dealt in the 95°f all night uncomfortably. The next day maintenance came and changed our the thermostat and offered no apology. Next was the lovely pool that had no towels or staff available. There's a large metal plate at the bottom of the doors and the doors automatically close fast so when I was walking out of caught my heel and sliced the back, leaving me bleeding obnoxiously. Wren I asked for a bandage or band-aid I was told they had none on site and offered me an Advil and kleenex. Nice hospitality. I should have gotten stitched but unaware of my immediate surroundings. After another uncomfortable night now because of my injury, I thought at last qt get breakfast. Wrong! The coffee machine i thought was out or empty, was so backed up with gunk it was clogged by the nastiness from only what looked like had never been cleaned. I showed the girl and she said oh we dont change those. What the heck?? Everywhere I've ever tended the nozzles are cleaned daily. That's so gross. Next was the juice. As I was pouring cereal the attendant grabbed the juice catch tray and poured it BACK INTO the apple juice dispensar!! 🤮🤮what is going on?? As I rounded the counter, I hesitantly gauged the biscuits and gravy. They looked cold and the gravy looked on the thicker side. I served one biscuit, sausage patty and spoonful of gravy and popped it in the microwave for 1.5min as I did, my hubby leaned over and said stay away from the eggs. They're cold like they were in the fridge. Definitely not what is expected for scrambled eggs. Another strike. We knew it was over when I tried the small bit of biscuits and gravy and even warmed up they were so overly salty I think they forgot to ever use water in the mix. Breakfast was overall absolutely Awful 😖 😱. I've never thought that with Best Western. And we are Diamond Elite Members! I'm almost ashamed 😔 The final straw was the unmet customer service when it came to renewing our check in. The day staff was definitely nothing like Parths phenomenal customer service. They could learn a thing or two from him. Overall if they cleaned up their act it could be much better but it does not quite hit par for the namesake and...
Read moreA Solid, Budget-Friendly Stay (But Bring Ear Plugs!) Overall, this hotel offers a great value for the price, and I would choose to stay here again. It was nice, felt very clean, and had a pleasant, welcoming aroma in the common areas. The staff were consistently nice and friendly, which really enhanced our experience. I stayed with my husband and our 7-month-old daughter, and she seemed comfortable throughout our visit. The hotel is generally quiet, but be aware it's located right next to a busy highway. We did find the highway noise made it a little difficult to sleep at times. Room & Amenities We had a room with one king bed and a pull-out sofa. The pull-out sofa could use an upgrade, but it was perfectly usable. The restroom was well-stocked with two sets of large, medium, and hand towels. They provide their own basic body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, which were decent—nothing luxurious, but they certainly got the job done. Our main issue was with the A/C unit. It was an "all or nothing" situation: you were either warm or cold, with no comfortable in-between. We had to turn it off and on constantly throughout our stay to regulate the temperature. Breakfast & "The Store" The complimentary breakfast was just okay. They offer a standard selection of waffles, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, bagels, and bread. The hot items—the eggs and pale sausages—were watery and unappetizing. It's fine for a quick bite, but don't expect a gourmet start to your day. A major negative was the ridiculously high prices in the hotel's little shop. Our last night, we paid $30 for two hot pockets, two drinks, chips, and cookies. That's corporate pricing at its worst. I highly recommend taking a short walk to the Shell gas station nearby, where you could easily get twice as much for under $30. The Final Verdict Ultimately, you get what you pay for, and this hotel is a solid choice in its price range. While you can't expect perfection (like a seamless A/C system or five-star breakfast) without paying a much higher rate, this hotel does a good job with the basics: comfort, cleanliness, and friendly service. If I had to choose between this hotel and another comparable option, I would...
Read moreI was very impressed with this hotel. My family stayed four nights in 3 rooms. The rooms were clean, the decor was stylish, and the layout was easy. As soon as we walked in, the lobby had a faint, fresh, clean smell that continued throughout the hotel. They do not allow pets, but had zero issues accommodating our service dog. Their pool was warm and just the right size for my kids to enjoy wading and playing in. The breakfast buffet was constantly kept stocked and clean. My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub suite, and could not have been happier. Water temperature and pressure was fantastic, and the room looked like no one had ever stayed in it before. The cleaning staff, the desk staff, the maintenance crew, the management, everybody was amazing. They were always available, always friendly, and always helpful. Anything we needed- lost cards, reprogrammed cards, extra sheets for the sofa, extra blankets, etc, they were so quick and happy to provide. We saw the same staff multiple times throughout our stay and they remembered us and were always making sure everything was to our satisfaction. They even installed brand new TVs in multiple rooms while we were there just to upgrade the models. And when my wife and I got the munchies but didn't want to leave the hotel, the convenient snack store at the lobby was well worth the price for candy bars, ice cream sandwiches, chips, soda, and hot pockets.
And the location is fantastic! It was less than a 15 minute drive to everything. Food, entertainment, groceries, retail, whatever we needed was a hop skip and a jump away. We attended six flags, a concert at globe Life field, and visited multiple local establishments and even visited the aquarium in Dallas. Getting to and from every location was much easier from this hotel.
I know a lot of hotel staff have very difficult jobs, with their guests blaming them for everything that goes wrong on their vacation. The staff at this hotel were fantastic at their jobs, and we didn't notice a single hitch in their operation. When we come back, we will be booking this same...
