I AM NOT A SECRET SHOPPER NOR WAS I PAID FOR THIS REVIEW. I AM RARELY SO SURPRISED BY A GOOD EXPERIENCE THAT I IMMEDIATELY RAN TO LEAVE MY THOUGHTS!!
So this was our first time coming here. Did a quick google search for local places with a decent menu. After looking theirs over it sounded good and was close so my 9 yr old son and I decided to try it.
There was plenty of parking around the building. When we walked in, the inside was simple and spacious. The lighting was great. Not too bright and not too dim. Great casual vibe. They were playing music over the speakers but it was set low. Loud enough to hear it but low enough you didnt need to raise your voice. It was a nice change. The place was spotless. Not a single dirty table, floor, everything was fully stocked. Even the back of the house looked clean!! All the employees were well kept and smiley.
Went to the counter and was greeted by a gentleman named Zachary and the Manager Becky. After allowing us a few minutes to look it over we placed our order. We decided to share a 1/4 burger on white bread with cheddar cheese, bacon and bbq sauce and ranch ots. We ordered the loaded fries with no jalapenos and a drink to share.
Let me tell you something... This burger had to have been made by the GODS. It was the biggest, most delicious, percectly built, most juiciest burger I have had in all 38 years on the planet. The fries were very warm but not too hot and the cheese was gooey cheddar with a phenomenal cheese pull. The bacon was real and qere actually pieces instead of bits and the ranch could rival Wing Stop. I wish this place was in North Dallas because me and my son would be here every week.
Went to the bathroom afterwards and it was IMMACULATE!! Not a spot or atain anywhere! Toilets and floors and sink were clean, it smelled good, plenty of soap, tissue and paper towels. Even the trashcan was kept up and not overflowing.
Spent a total of $21.93 which is an amazing price for the size and quality of the food. The employees were so amazing and absolutely gave a family feel to the restaurant. The way they interacted with us you would have sworn we were regulars!! This place is an absolute hidden gem and i will be raving about it...
Read moreGreat food, poor service.
The food is always excellent and we never have any issues with quality or taste. However, the service is very poor. We were in last night and arrived at 8:25PM. As soon as we arrived, the young man at the front asked us if we are dining in or taking it to-go. Before I could answer, he interrupted me and said "I'm just asking because we close at 9:00PM and I dont know if you both will be out by then..." I said "Umm well we were planning on dining in" and he goes "It's just that our store managers are in town and they're really wanting us to close up by nine, they don't like it when we close past closing time". I've never met/worked with a manager in my life that thought it was a good idea to kick people out or make people feel unwelcome, simply to close 15 minutes earlier. No manager would actually want that, it's horrible for business, and frankly just impolite. After that, we decided to take our food to go because we didn't want to be rushed. The man took our order and suggested free drinks "on the house". We ordered and paid for our food and was very specific with what we wanted. The receipt was correct yet they got our food wrong after all that. We will come back simply because we live close and the food is good but next time, I will be asking for the employees names and to speak to their manager. With 35 minutes until the restaurant is closed, it's really rude to behave like that...
Read more1st time review.... Upon arriving at Chapps Burger, I noticed the place was quite spacious, giving off an impression of being a bustling spot. I decided to try their Turkey Burger with onion rings, accompanied by a side of ranch dressing. The burger was well-toasted, and I truly appreciated how the onions and cheese melded together beautifully. That fresh tomato added a nice touch. The generous trays they provide are great for keeping your eating area organized, which I found helpful.
I also picked up two pies: a buttermilk and a cream cheese pecan. Both desserts were satisfying, and the drinks complemented the meal well. As for cleanliness, I'd give them a 4.5 out of 5. There were a few areas that could have used a bit more attention, but overall, it wasn't a deal-breaker. The wait time was reasonable, and my wife had a pleasant experience using the facilities – no issues there.
Initially, I would've rated them a solid 4.5, but seeing how the staff consistently cleaned and maintained the environment as i sat eating, bumped my rating up to a 4.8 out of 5. Overall, Chapps Burger is a worthy spot for a quick bite. Salute to...
