I kept an open mind despite all the reviews, but our experience was the same as the horror stories I read. Our original plans fell through and we found ourselves booking here last minute. They were told it was 2 adults and 3 kids, but it seems as though they think kids don't bathe because employee told owner we had more than 2 adults in the room and wanted to charge us extra for towels. Our kids are middle and high school age, so they shower daily! Every day we had to ask for new towels and get the old ones removed. They asked my husband if we wanted "room service" aka housekeeping. He said just replace our towels every day. We still had to ask, sometimes twice when all they'd give us was 2 bath towels. We'd be gone all day and the dirty, wet towels would still be in the bathroom on our return. One night, I put the luggage rack in the hallway and piled all the towels on it. Next morning they were gone along with the luggage rack, but still no clean towels. I also had to put the overflowing trash can in the hall to be emptied. On day 4, I sent my daughter to the front desk to get towels, and they gave her 2 and tried to hand her the phone to talk to the owner after telling her we would have to pay for more towels. She is 14! I went out there and confronted them. They do not seem to understand who's a kid and who's not, and that kids shower. On this rare occasion, there were 2 women at the front desk instead of the usual zero. One was so nasty and kept interrupting me and arguing. Finally I told them I would complain to corporate, and she responded that she would complain about me. To whom, I have no idea. The next day, someone knocked on the door, but my husband was in the bathroom. We left for the day, and I guess they didn't come back because we still had the same wet, dirty towels in the room and no clean ones. We also had the same overflowing garbage can. They claimed they stopped by twice to do housekeeping, but apparently they gave up before noon. I've attached a few photos of the room. Worn, dated and just gross. The phone was yellowed from age and made in 1988 according to the printing on the bottom that I found while plugging it in. It also did not work. Carpet was worn. Towels were small, thin and many were stained. One day we had to wait for towels because they were in the dryer. There were stains on the bathroom ceiling and in the hallway. Cobweb residue hanging from the ceiling above the beds. Furniture was old, mismatched, and looks like what you'd find at a thrift store or on the side of the road. Only one nightstand for the 2 beds. Bathroom so small that there is no place to set your clothes. Vending machine was about 25% full. Breakfast looked ok, but given the cleanliness of the place I chose not to partake. Room had one roll of toilet paper. We had to request another after we ran out. When we checked in, we learned that there were only 5 rooms occupied, and the owners live there. And yet they can't provide decent customer service?!?!? We checked out 2 days early and we're given a variety of excuses for their ineptitude. As we packed up the room, the smoke detector started beeping. I'm pretty sure that it would have been a battle to get the battery replaced. I don't know how they are still in business.

Room carpet was filthy. The whole place, lobby, halls and room reeked of cigarette smoke. The tv would not get a signal all day Thursday. Thursday nite the heater kept shutting off. Hallway carpet was filthy also

Absolutely the most dirty and run down motel of any brand I've ever been in. Going to share my experience with CLC and get this place removed. Smoke detector missing, hole in the wall, carpet stains galore.

This particular location is absolutely appalling. The smell of this place is like opening up a washer filled with clothes that has been sitting in it for a week. We had to switch the room they had saved for us because the smell was way too overwhelming. The other room wasn't as bad, but it lacked the space we needed for our party of two adults and two teens. The owner was upset that we even suggested asking to keep the same price for what he called a "suite." The "suite was smaller and was different only because of a hot tub. The carpets in this whole place look like they've never been cleaned! They claimed to have breakfast, but there wasn't any hot food at all; just cereal, packaged pastries, and brown, soft, bananas. We still don't know what one of the beverages were. One was apple juice, but the other was very hard to determine. The backetrace/exit had broken beer bottle glass mixed in without the rubber mat and it's surroundings when we first went to bring our things in. I took a piece of a torn apart box that looked like it had been out there for a while and used a piece to "sweep" the glass away so we wouldn't get any pieces stuck in our shoes. If there were any other places somewhere else that were available for our 4th of July stay up in Hartford, WI, I would have taken it the minute I stepped into this hotel . But we had plans to meet up with friends during the holiday and I couldn't find anything. We paid a little over $100 to stay there. It was through a 3rd part booking service to get a discounted rate. We paid way too much to stay in a place that shouldn't even be open to the public. What a rip off and a disappointing experience. Lesson learned...

I am on my second week at this motel. The first week wasn't so bad. I booked online with Agodo...I think that's how it's spelled...I paid $59 a night and got a $59 kind of motel. The guy at the front desk who checked me in said I will hate it here. I don't know if he was joking or being sarcastic or rude I can tell within this week I don't have enough money to book online for the whole week so I had to come to the motel pay for my room and cash and they charged me almost 80 bucks and this time I got my dog with me and the room was kind of needed to be vacuumed. It's kind of dirty gross but definitely not as clean as the first remote was in last week and the door lock is busted it's shoved in and I went to the front desk to say something about it didn't care at all he asked me if it still worked and just stared at me and I was like okay thanks. And last night when I called in to see if I could reserve the room the guy wouldn't take my reservation at it he wanted to give me the owner's number to call her to make the reservation but he never did and being a walk in and whoever was on the phone told me to turn around and I don't know that was weird and then out in the parking lot smoking a cigarette I hear tunsel whistling and somebody yelling out go home we don't want you here which is kind of weird and creepy I don't know who they're yelling at but yeah it gets scary I definitely would not stay here again it's super super creepy especially if you're a single woman on your own you know traveling for work I would stau somewhere else I'll probably will tomorrow night I don't think I'll finish...
