Lake Terrace Convention Center — Hotel in Hattiesburg

I took my father to see the ZZ Top concert on Friday, November 4, 2022, and we had an awesome time. Although beer was $30 a pitcher, it was definitively available for purchase. Although I paid for actual seats, almost everyone stood up when the band started. Me standing only 5 foot tall, I was at a great disadvantage at this point. However, I decided I would walk as far to the front of the seats as I could. Soon, a police officer proceeded to tell us that people were complaining about people standing in the aisles, and my dad and I returned to where we were originally sitting. Since I couldn't see and the police officer left, I informed my dad I was headed back to the front. He decided he would stay seated. Luckily, the second time I got to the front, a gentlemen saw that I was by myself, and he informed me that there was one empty seat next to his wife that I could get in. I thanked them both very much and stayed put. I sang, danced, recorded, and took pictures. It was a blast! The weather was perfect, and we had an awesome time! I look forward to going back to another event...

I go here to see, feed, take pictures of the assorted birds and water fowl that come each day. They have nice walking paths. This is also were the Welcome center is. Free coffee in the mornings, clean restrooms, and some very interesting facts about Hattiesburg and surrounding areas. They also have plenty picnic tables outside the welcome area and then we have the convention center itself. Its huge and very nice. They also have areas outside for weddings, family reunions and many more things. The hole place is beautiful. Just depends on what you like to do. There is however no fishing. Fish are for the wild life only. Park is most beautiful. People please if you have plastic bags of any type either put in trash cans or take it with you so it doesn't end up in the water. The facilities and grounds were beautiful, but once inside everything slowly unraveled. The staff was rude and I can only assume they are departmental employees because most of the responses to my inquires was "that's not my job!" The waitstaff fumbled through their service as though they were lost, I cannot fully blame them as the young who appeared to direct them also seemed lost. Then a fellow co-worker lost money from his pocket, not much to be concerned about, but the waiter who picked the money up disappeared and did not show back up to return it once he was identified as the waiter who picked the cash up.
