Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

The employees at this location are the rudest that I have EVER encountered, both as a customer and as a DoorDasher.

Just today I was laughed at and accused of being a liar by every person behind the counter. I asked for one of their names and everyone stopped speaking to me completely while hiding their names. I did take a picture of the woman who said, “She lied about DoorDash polices and she’s waiting extreme laughter, to the point I thought she was high.”

I contacted both my company and corporate. My company said that I was in the right and would take disciplinary action, as has corporate management for the location. The audio file I sent was very helpful.

Workers, especially DoorDash, please listen: You can get FIRED for filling drinks, no matter what restaurant staff say. Even if they get mad at you for refusing, please put your foot down. We don’t need these workers getting anymore lazy than they...

The food, except the cole slaw, was fresh and tasted good. The cole slaw was just below room temperature and seemed a bit old. The restaurant was clean and seemed to be taken care of well. The service. Oh, the service. The worker at the window was very busy. On her phone. The crew in the back seemed to be hustling and getting food to the warmers in a timely manner. The person who was working the front counter was something else. She did not give friendly service, moved slowly, and did not acknowledge the question from a delivery driver. There were 3 customers in front of us, and I do not recall a single thank you. This is the South. A thank you is almost a necessity. The food was good enough that I will probably give this location 1 more try. Hopefully, their service...

Nope. My second time within 5 years of just trying to purchase some chicken. Both times, the line was long as hxll. Didn't even bother ordering after standing in line on the inside after 15 minutes with no movement. Employees definitely have no sense of urgency. I'm all for supporting wage earners, but good God, at least pretend to show some kind of effort with getting customers served, either at the drive-thru or at the counter. Definitely won't be returning. Only stopped in again because within a 5 year period, I was visiting this area and wanted some eats on my way out. Try the one in Collins if you're headed that way, 'cause this Popeyes ain't it. And.... the floor was slippery near the counter....
