The two beds were a very sad situation. A low quality mattress, on each of the beds, was resting on a metal frame, and the metal frame was resting on a makeshift wooden box. The metal frame was wider and longer than the wooden box which made no sense whatsoever. There was no boxspring to support the mattress unless management considered the metal frame and wooden box to be one. It made for three nights of extremely uncomfortable sleeping.
During our stay a family member of ours got sick, and threw up violently in the bathroom. Even though we cleaned up the mess as best as we could the next morning we decided to bring this to the attention of the employees at the front desk. We wanted to make sure the staff was alerted, and that they could do a deep clean in our bathroom. The staff member promised us that it would be taken care of that same day. Unfortunately, when we came back from spending the day sightseeing we realized that the bathroom had not been cleaned. My wife called the front desk, and they apologized but couldn't do anything about it because the cleaning staff had left for the day. They told her to tell the front desk employees the next morning, and they would take care of it. The next morning my wife went to the front desk, and told the employees about the deep clean needed in our bathroom, and they wrote it down and promised us it would be taken care of. When we came back from another day of sightseeing we noticed our bathroom was once again not cleaned. The staff made two promises that apparently they knew they couldn't keep, and because of this my family was unable to use the shower during our stay. This lack of respect for my family is totally unacceptable. I don't feel like we were asking for anything out of the ordinary, and to be treated this way by the staff is unacceptable.
This is by far the worst hotel experience my family and I have ever experienced, and wouldn't recommend the Comfort Inn & Suites in Hazelwood,...
Read moreThere are so many reasons. The front desk personnel was not customer service friendly. We had a language barrier misunderstanding where the room charges were placed on the wrong credit card and she didn’t seemed too concerned to help us with this error. Secondly, the rooms were unacceptable. All four rooms’ floors were dirty (bathroom floors hadn’t been mopped in awhile as evidenced by extremely dirty towels when attempting to clean up water on the floor after showering and dirty carpets as evidenced by my grandchildren’s dirty socks and brown bare feet soles). There were not enough towels on our first night, there was only one washcloth and two bath towels. We had to request towels every day because the towels were so flimsy, they were limited to a one time use. Regarding the towels, on day two, housekeeping removed our used towels, but did not replace the bath mat, so we had to use a bath towel for the bath mat which limited our quantity of bath towels, so yet again, we had to request more towels. My daughter in law informed me after we had checked out that one of the juice machine in the breakfast area had mold on the spout. The toilet in our room #301 needs attention. When it was flushed, the water tank was slow to fill because the handle needed adjustment. My daughter mentioned that one of her queen beds’ springs caused her back pain and was very noisy, which made her not sleep well for a number of reasons. One, she has small children and every time she moved, the bed would squeak and she was afraid, she might wake her children. The hotel staff did not greet or have any interactions with me even when passing in the hall . These are just some of the reasons. One other issue,I noticed the evening front desk personnel was not always available to check in arriving guests as I observed one guest waiting to check in. He was still waiting after I left for about 10 minutes to remove items...
Read moreFirst, I was given only one set of towels and had to ask for more. Second, one of those towels was a pool towel in lieu of a bath mat. It was way too thin to act as a bath mat. When I requested the towels, I was asked if it was ok for someone to enter my room in spite of the Do Not Disturb sign I had there. I said I could take the towels myself, but they asked again about entering the room with them. I reluctantly said they could do so. At no time did I give blanket permission for anyone to enter my room at any other time, and I kept the Do Not Disturb sign on the door for the whole 4 days of my stay. On the third day, I discovered that someone had been in my room, as they took some towels, and they changed my garbage. When I complained of my privacy having been breached, I was told it was "just a misunderstanding," and that they thought I wanted daily towel service. I had never requested such, and the fact that I had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door the entire time of my stay should have made that clear. In addition to my personal issues, they served exactly the same breakfast every day, which hotels at this level are supposed to switch at least every other day, if not having three different breakfasts that they rotate. There also was no coffee served for three out of the four days of my stay. I was told that it was that the coffee maker (which also was the only source of hot water for tea or hot chocolate) was not working, and the technician was not able to come right away. If I were the manager of a hotel with a non-working coffee maker, I'd go to Walmart and purchase a cheap coffee maker and keep it going, so that my guests always had coffee. I would also purchase a hot water carafe and fill it with boiled, hot water, so my guests could have tea or hot chocolate. Other than that, the room was clean, and the bed was...
