Here's how your vacation goes. You walk into your room and you are so impressed because the room is great. The decor, size, appliances. You even have your own washer and dryer. Then you're going to spend the night and realize that the train that is basically on property runs at least 8 times a night and I grew up a few blocks from the tracks so when I say it's loud and there's no soundproofing. The windows aren't even commercial windows. Then ya know the people next door have the same problem sleeping and they're quite clearly a couple (a loud couple that you can hear clear as day) Then the next day or two you're going to realize that you have to make your own beds, wash your own towels, take your own garbage outside, and if you need more trash bags or toiletries you have to go down to the front desk (outside in the cold) to get them yourself because "oh this is a time share." they basically call you stupid for asking the front desk about housekeeping service. And don't get put in building 3 because then you have to go outside (in our case in the snow with a 1 year old) to get to the indoor pool that has locker rooms with no heat. Upon checkout my husband mentioned the housekeeping to the front desk guy and his response was "oh that's our time share building. The housekeeping doesn't go over there" so you spend all this money on a time share to be purposefully put in the worst spot. The housekeeping doesn't even do a good job in between stays because we found a water bottle that was just under the couch and a bunch of hair all over one of the showers (but nothing higher than where the waist would be if you get what I mean) disgusting rooms. There are signs saying they're remodeling the outdoor pool in March while we're here. Nothing warned us they're gonna start at 8 am! Just what I wanted to do on my vacation... Heads up they're doing the indoor pool "summer 2018" so don't be here this summer Until the construction I was gonna give them a star back because they have a handicapped chair for the pool. That is the only good thing about this hotel. I will...
Read moreThere are three separate buildings here, we stayed in the first building on the third floor, great views of Hershey park, and less than a mile to the most popular attractions in the area. The front desk staff are quick to assist you with whatever you need. My favorite part was that the rooms are treated more like apartments, we stayed here for a week, and loved it. There is no room service, but there is a huge kitchen with all your full size appliances, and all the cookware, utensils, and dishes you need. The stacked washer/dryer combo is pretty sweet, I hate having to drag a bunch of dirty clothes down the hall to some shared washing machine, or even worse, all the way home. So having the machines right there is awesome. The parking is right below each building, and is accessible only by using your key card to open the elevator. The building we were in only had 6 rooms on each floor, we had two huge bathrooms, two full size beds, a king size bed, a living room/dining room combo, and a huge kitchen. It really is like having your own apartment.Bottom line, if you are looking for privacy, convenient access to all the local hotspots, and to save money on laundry, and food costs, look no further than Bluegreen. Our favorite hotel by far, and we will be...
Read moreIf you are considering staying here, DON'T. The housekeeping is non-existent. Several years ago when we stayed here it was lovely. Now, it's a dump. Filthy! There's something dirty everywhere you look. I gave this property 3 strikes, before I began voicing my concerns. First strike - building 3 smells like the trash hasn't been taken out in days. The carpets are dirty, which contributes to the unclean smell. Strike 2 - The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. Strike 3 - The toaster looked like it had not been cleaned EVER and it didn't work (had to call for a replacement at 8am). The Front desk offered to send someone from housekeeping, 'to make corrections.' At 10:30am a housekeeper arrived at our door (you read that correctly 2 and a half hours after the front desk promised to send someone right up to make the corrections). The individual on the other side of the door didn't have enough self respect to NOT wear her bonnet in public. And it appeared that someone woke her from sleeping off the activities of the previous night. I sent her away, because by that point I was all out of nice. Do better, just do your job like you should have before we arrived. God knows my husband pays enough $ in timeshare maintenance fees to have higher...
