(1) There was a malfunction in one of the women’s restroom stalls on the ground floor, across from our conference room. I went to use it Friday evening during a break of our conference session, and discovered water on the floor in the first stall. I used the middle stall and upon flushing it, it proceeded to completely overflow water onto the floor, spreading everywhere. I reported this to my conference attendees and to the front desk immediately, Friday night. While on a break Saturday morning for our group’s session in the conference room, we discovered that the problem had not been fixed, because the flooding started again - same stall. One of my conference attendees reported it to our group. There was a maintenance man standing outside the ladies’ room and he told us that there was only one stall functioning at that time. So I asked: Can we use the men’s room? We really needed to use the restroom facilities and there was almost 30 of us in the conference room Saturday morning, so yes: we used the men’s restroom, with ladies standing outside to guard while we did so. Our Women’s Ministry President discussed Saturday morning’s issue with the front desk person, and was able to secure a room key for a room on the first floor, which could be used, when needed. (2) Slight smell of nicotine in the room when we entered it; however, it was most evident at about two in the morning when we got up to go to the bathroom. It really punched us in the face. To have to wash your hands outside of the bathroom after using it - that’s where the sink was, really seems odd: unsanitary to me. (3) Someone taking a shower (don’t know where) woke us up at 1:45 Saturday morning, followed by what seemed to be loud flushing for about another 5 minutes. (4) At about 2 AM early Saturday morning, our sleep was rudely interrupted by someone having loud sex: we could hear the headboard repeatedly banging against the wall. The female voice was extremely loud and almost nonstop. We heard a man laughing - may have been two men, not sure. This sexcapade went on for about an hour, and then we heard a female voice saying “Stop,” and everything ended. We could not get back to sleep until four in the morning on Saturday, and I woke up at 5:30, and was unable to get back to sleep, even though our conference’s first session was not until 9:30 a.m. We did not rest well, obviously, from what happened on Friday night, and we were very tired for our conference session on Saturday morning. Saturday morning’s breakfast was just okay. This was a very bad...
Read moreIf you have class don’t stay here. Bypass it immediately there is a Fairfield Inn Marriott nearby in the area. This was by far the worst stay and experience my family and I have ever had at a “Choice Hotel”. This used to be a Days Inn and If you read the reviews from how bad it was then, there is a similar sentiment. The staff is beyond rude. Jasmine is snarky, The GM Zapata is nonchalant, aloof and passive-aggressive and Barbara is dismissive and curt. It takes forever for someone to come to the front desk to address needs. We were placed in a room that we did not book, despite being high ranking members with Choice hotels we were not granted the ability to check in early as all other hotels allow, when very simple information was asked they purposely were vague and aloof in their answers, they lied to the housekeeping staff and told them our room was vacant when it wasn’t and tried to make us leave the room early around 10:30am when we were granted a late check out time in writing of 3pm, the laughable grab and go breakfast was not even available during our entire multi-day stay until the day after we complained to a corporate hotel association, we have already passed along our disgust to several governing bodies as this place does not deserve to be considered a Choice Hotel. In addition to that, the promised amenities were missing, somehow our Do Not Disturb sign was mysteriously removed from our door the same night we complained about smelling smoke from the floor above, hard working construction guests had to bring coolers because there were no refrigerators due to renovations (it’s summer, open when ready not when greedy for money), the ice machine was finicky, the front desk was not manned up to par with Choice Hotel policy, there was no 24/7 hot water, coffee, tea. We caught them in lies throughout the stay and had to push for our guest rights. They had mysterious dropping by of police multiple mornings (we are former first responders/law enforcement so they were clearly not there for us) but makes you wonder what strange activity is going on in the building that they even needed this presence there. I could go on but the associations We have reached out to are pending investigation. Gross. Just gross. Do...
Read moreMy wife is pregnant. Our check in time was at 3 PM. We arrived at 2.15 PM. The parking lot was empty. There was nobody at the front desk. I used the outside phone to call someone to the front desk as my wife was pregnant and needed to use the rest room. This visibly annoyed lady showed up at the front desk and she said that check in is at 3 PM. So I said that's fine and asked her if she would be able to direct my pregnant wife to a restroom. She said the restroom is out of order. And then she walked off. So I called up customer service to see if we could do something about it since we were already at the lobby with all our luggage outside the car. Choice Hotels Customer Service said that I apparently am a gold member and qualify for an early check in. They asked me to relay this information at the front desk. So I called the front desk using the outside phone again. And the same irritating lady answered the phone and said - there are no restrooms available, check in is at 3 PM. So I said that if she could direct her to the restroom that she uses , especially since my wife is pregnant and is in need of a restroom. She simply annoyingly responded with - no restroom available and check in is at 3 PM. I said apparently I'm a gold member and that I qualify for early check in to which she said - early check in is only if rooms are available and no rooms are available. Up until this point I was calm and patient. But as soon as I heard her claim that no rooms were available, we decided to cancel our reservation and book another hotel. Comfort Inn, just bringing this to your attention. She was rude, she was not helpful, she was not available at the front desk, she did not consider the fact that my wife is pregnant. I don't want you to tell you to do your job, but if it was me, I would fire her. You need to find another person to cover this shift that she is in. She will definitely make you lose...
