I was looking forward to an authentic Chinese restaurant closer to home without having to drive into Philly. This place almost fits the bill but has some fatal flaws so I can only recommend the place with reservations.
To start with the positives, the food is pretty good. Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are hard to come by in the suburbs. We ordered both crab and pork as soon as we arrived while we waiting for the rest of our party (they were a few minutes behind because Google lists the address as 303 Norristown Road but the correct address is 303 Horsham Road - we let the business know and they have contacted Google to correct it). In my experience, it takes about 15-20 minutes to make soup dumplings, as you cannot really make them ahead of time. They came out much quicker than that but they were tasty and full of soup!
The prices are reasonable but a little more expensive than a proper dim sum restaurant with dim sum carts. However, I think the pricing is fairly in line with the locale.
The restaurant is larger than I thought with ample seating. It is bright and modern in its decor although there is a little bit of an odd mix of decor. It is certainly not what you would expect walking into a dim sum restaurant and is certainly the polar opposite of the old Dim Sum Garden in Chinatown when it was located at 11th and Filbert, which had the "a hole in the wall" vibe.
The staff were friendly but the service needs work. Water was brought to the table quickly and we were able to flag down a waitress for our order. Food starting steadily coming to the table but by the time we finished, we were still missing one dish - scallion pancake. We mentioned it to our waitress who said it should be coming out. We waited and then asked another waiter, who said it should be coming out. Midway through our meal, a party of 8 had arrived and sat next to us. They started getting all of their food and I see the waiter serve them scallion pancake! When we asked our waitress about it, she tried to make some excuse about how they were a larger party but it didn't make sense. We got there first and placed the order first. So, we asked her to please cancel the dish and just bring us the check. She returns with a check - but you could see someone else's credit card sticking out of it so she brought us the wrong check. Once she did come by with our bill, she did acknowledge that she removed the scallion pancake from our bill.
The one fatal flaw that I left until the end are the dirty dish ware and I did see this mentioned in another review. The outside of my glass was grimy to touch. Everyone's plates seem to have food residue on it and had to be wiped down. My husbands spoon was extra dirty so we had to ask for a new one. I could also see old food on the serving dishes. That is...
Read moresoo i am a person who loves dimsum , i normally go to the place in flourtown or university city , but i was in the area in horsham and decided to go here WORST DECISION EVER.
upon arrival there are only 1 other table of people dining in the restaurant, stopped in on a friday at around 2pm , the place was empty . so once i arrive the restaurant has a total of 2 tables . the initial greeting went well and as i was seated and my order was taken it went well.
i ordered my normal go to that in order at all the other dim sums who have the same exact menu.
garlic cucumbers , scallion pancakes , i decided to try the beef sticks, veggie bun , seafood noodles .
and i also had green tea
when i get the cucumbers, it tasted like sour , idk wierd , i had cucumbers before and hey never tasted like this , as i am picking through them eating , i swore i saw a white mold dot on the crushed cucumber, i let the waiter no, he takes care of it bring me back a new one . they still taste wierd so i don’t eat them , ok no problem .
i get the beef sticks , they are dry and tasteless, it was like almost beef jerky but warm and just ehh, but im not complaining this my first time trying them .
they send a woman out with the rest of my food and as soon as i get my noodles , i take one bite and i immediately gag and start to spit up the noodles .
during this entire experience with only 2 tables in the restaurant, no one came and checked on me or asked how it was , if i needed anything .
so the lady who served me the noodles , actually sees me spitting them up , walks by and says nothing .
i gather myself together and ask her for a manager . she says back to me menu and i said no can i speak with a manager .
1 minute later she brings me my check . I waited 12minutes to speak with a manager, with only 2 tables being served in the entire restaurant.
the manager was understanding and i only paid for 2 items , which to be honest business wise should’ve just been free , since i barely ate and they had several mistakes, but that’s ok.
THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE , I WOULD SAY DO NOT COME HERE AND...

Our group (10+ people) has a quarterly get together at different restaurants, this time we decided to go try Dim Sum Factory, since couple of our friends have already been here and said the food is good. While the food was good, the service was lacking...almost chaotic.
Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 2/5 Food: 4/5 Parking: Free parking lot
Restaurant The restaurant is decorated beautifully. It has plenty of tables for different party sizes. It also has a private party room in the back for large parties 30-40 people maybe.
Service Our reservation was at 12PM on a Saturday, it was not that busy at all by the time we sat down. They take your orders via handheld tablet, and Food delivery is via Robot. There is sure sign of Chaos in the kitchen. While we might think there is no way orders would get messed up, we were very wrong. We received couple of items we did not ordered, as well as we received some how 6 orders of Pork dumplings vs just 4 Pork dumplings, 1 Crab Meat and 1 Chicken dumpling. When we checked the receipt at the end, looks like everything was correct, just the food we received was not. We decided not to mention about the food, since by the time we received our food the restaurant was pretty busy, and the food wasn't bad. If it was wrong and bad, we might have said something.
Food Overall all the food were good. We order an assortment of items... couple of Shumai's, Chicken skewer and Fried Pork Chop. But majority of our orders were Soup Dumplings (Spicy Pork Dumplings, steamed crab meat pork dumplings and steamed Chicken soup dumplings.)
In conclusion, If you not in Philadelphia Chinatown and would like to try Soup dumplings, this is a good place to try. But It is not as authentic compare to Dim Sum restaurants in Philly, because the menu is very limited. Example: Jade Harbor, Ocean Harbor, China Gourmet, where you would get a lot more items for a much...
