I am a 26 year Texas attorney and former police officer who works in Houston and have stayed at this hotel off and on for numerous weeks since November, 2017. I made a reservation through priceline for September 24-25, 2018. When I left for court on the 25th I forgot to check out and left my toiletries but more importantly left my diabetes, bp and sleep meds in the room number 325. After court at approximately 2 pm I realized what I had done which was my fault in the first place, and had the misfortune of speaking to the front desk person named Ashton. A five foot two little man syndrome about 22 years old. I advised him of my mistake and advised this little person to please hold my property as required by law to hold and I advised I would make another reservation for wednesday and would pick up my property around 6 pm when I got there. Of course you know what happened next, when I got there with my non-refundable reservation thru priceline and asked him to please get my meds after I had signed all of the check in papers. He then looked around the office and of course now claimed no one had turned in my property and there was nothing he could do. I did raise my voice to this small man and after I advised him that i was feeling like i was having a low sugar episode and wasnt feeling well as it was time to take my meds for that condition. He then proceeded or claimed to have called his manager (I have no proof whether he did or not but it sounded like he did but refused let me talk to her myself which is very suspicious) it could have been his mother for all I know. He then claimed that he was told to cancel my reservation and to leave without my money I had paid for the night. He began to laugh at my disability (diabetes) and said I should have thought about my meds when I left that morning. I could not believe what this little boy was saying and how he was saying it. It wasnt like the place was full by any means, I know why now. Priceline refused to transfer my reservatuon to another Extended Stay about a mile down the road because little boy was playing tough guy and HE cancelled it not me. I will deal with them later in JP Court. So I then went to the other extended stay up the road at 2424 West Sam Houston Parkway and stayed there. Desirre there could not have been nicer. When I told her what happened she advised they had had other problems with Ashton before at the Richmond location in dealing with customers. I was not surprised at all, he really enjoyed having some power over someone much more educated than he will ever be. I really hope if he matures with age he will someday with hard work make more that 10 bucks and hour for the rest of his life. As an ex cop im sure they took my meds and sold them on the street as "rip off" and made a little coin. I could have gone into a diabetic coma and those of you who have this know how dangerous that can be. Little man could not have cared less. If and when someone does suffer injury due to staff stealing meds they will be writing a check with many zeros in it.
In sum, please do not EVER stay here because of the VERY poor uneducated attitude of ASHTON. I get that poor people like ASHTON make very little for that menial job and they are a dime a dozen and do not care. But the franchisor who sold the brand to the owner will be getting a letter from our law firm regarding the events that took place proving a clear violation of the contract between the owner and the franchisor. ASHTON: Google it and learn something-on your next high paying job.
Please stay at the Extended Stay Westchase Westheimer, Houston, Tx. Very nice, clean. All TV channels work and Dessirre was super professional, will be manager very soon. Ashton?...

I stayed for quite a bit of time, and to be honest the rooms aren't bad but aren't great either. The rooms might need to be cleaned more properly, also the internet was actually pretty good I paid for the faster internet and never had an issue. The front desk staff was actually pretty nice to me, I have noticed reviews of others complaining about the Front Desk employees, but to be quite honest I noticed if you are nice and friendly to them, they are super nice in exchange, also I don't blame them if they aren't in the greatest of moods, I've seen first hand over countless times of some sketchy clients arguing with them, I'm sure after a while they get irritated. Jennifer and George were there usually when I would pass by and I have to say THEY WERE AWESOME. Again at times I felt bad for them because of the type of clients they would have to encounter and deal with on a daily event.
My biggest complain overall will happen to be the SMELL of the property once you walk in and also while you walk the hall ways.
I can't stress this next thing enough, which I think would fix a-lot of their issues instantly. The types of people who stay here aren't very nice people, you see some very sketchy charActers at all times of the day. You would see some drug activity outside by the dumpster, and by the entrance side. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND parking by the front office, I wouldn't trust anything in your car unfortunately. The people who stay here make your stay feel unsafe and like yo have to watch your every step literally..
I encountered other individuals like myself who were the working crowd that are alone and just want to rest in a quiet room. I truly believe that even if they raised their rates and made an effort to have working class clients they would have better service and less safety issues. I really wish they would have some type of security n\ during the night time because you feel...
