(I Was a member of Hair Club from 2016-2018. I can provide proof if needed)
So my interaction with hairclub is a mixed bag. Its filled with deception. I realized recently that there is no review online that I could find where hairclub's methodology was described. Its almost hush hush. So i decided lets put my experience out there. Im a guy in my mid 30s. Started suffering hair loss at a very early age even though there is no family background. So i went to hairclub a couple of years ago and without any research. I mean its hairclub. They know what they are doing. Well partially. I was a greeted by an attractive female who took pictures of my scalp and literally scared the jesus out of me by explaining that I was going bald at an unusual rate. Not normal at all. I later found out (way later) that she was not a doctor, not even a tech. Simply a sales lady. Anyways she convinced me into the non-surgical route. To put it bluntly, a wig is out on your head with a lot of glue that slowly deteriorates and then you have to go back to get more of it and well thats life from there on. I was told it would last 8 weeks and its very easy to maintain and that I can do it myself. Not true at all. It depends on your scalp. Clean, oily, dirty, frequency of polution you face, well practically the entire environment around you is against you especially heat. We are in Houston. It sucks. Well anyways, that wig will get very sticky and oil super fast in the heat. This is where hairclub makes and insane amount of money on you. Lets break it down. I wasnt going blad at an alarming rate. It was a lie. Surgical would have helped me more two years ago. Non-surgical just yields more money for HC. They will push it to you. The hair piece you get is dependent on the money you put in. I paid an initial 4500 dollars and then 250 after that every month and they give you a new wig every second session. Again 250 is the cheapest you can go. More money, better wig and frequent appointments. The maintainence is a two man job. They will tell you its so easy a cave man can do it. No its not. Think about removing your hair. Placing a very sticky substance on your head while making sure it doesnt seap into the wig because if it does, then you are screwed and it takes an act of congress to clean it. You need an outside hand to fix the issue. The service. Only good thing about this entire deal is that the service was good for me. Everyone at the location is a sweetheart so you will get to know people and they will get to know you. Its up close and personal.
Two years and almost 10k in, I found out there are options, tons of them. Surgical is better and it works. It may not yield the super duper result a wig gives but its less headache and in some cases cheaper. Do yourself a favor. Find a private clinic and talk to actual doctor. Not their techs. I recently went to a doctor where the tech was selling it to me and the doctor was playing solitaire on his computer while another teach was doing surgery on a patient. Talk to the actual person. Look around and take your time. There are things like surgical, micropigmentation and well if you have to go the non-surgical route, there are options almost 1/4th of what you pay at HC. Hope this helps you. It would have helped me...

Read moreI started Hair Club in January and I would never recommend this place to anyone. First of all I felt like I was pressured into joining. Not only did I have to spend a ridiculous amount of money the first year but then they want you to take out a subscription on top of that. You initially get all the hair products but then you have to purchase more when you run out. Although most everyone who works there was nice they sure don't know how to schedule clients. I had 5 different hairdressers and when I made an appointment almost always my appointment time was changed and so was the hairdresser. Some of the hairdressers don't know how to cut hair or color. My color was never matched correctly. Once my hairpiece almost fell off because it wasn't put on right. The last appointment I had it took the girl an hour to soak my piece off. I was so uncomfortable. Please find another solution for your hair loss. This isn't it
and so was...
