First of all I went to the store on 3/27/21 and ordered a bed set and a chair. I asked about bar stools and they told me they would let me know by Monday. Come Monday no call, so I call them an hour before they close and they tell me they are still looking into it (mind you I was told I would be given a call regardless to keep me updated) but anyways fast forward to now I had to get barstools from somewhere else because they never kept up or checked up with me after multiple attempts to get information about them. My chair was another story which they gave me the run around for about 2 weeks and when I made a scheduled delivery time they did not show up. They ended up delivering it the weekend and that’s because I had to call 8 times. Now today I waited for my bed set to arrive which they already pushed a day back (I have no furniture, no bed, no mattress I am sleeping on an air mattress, that isn’t the most comfortable thing) they said I would be the last delivery which is around 5-7 PM. When 7 gets here and passes, then hours pass they are NO WHERE to be SEEN. Not a call, not an update NOTHING! I even called an hour prior to confirm my delivery which a girl answered and said it would be delivered today, but here I am again sleeping on my air mattress for another night. I will NEVER buy from this store/company again. I used to recommend them and I had friends and family telling me to let them know how it goes so that they can order from them, but heck no I’m not telling a soul about this place. And if they ask I will tell them to RUN FAR AWAY! I don’t want anyone going through the type of stress this place is putting me through right now. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. A professional business would have had my products that I paid for within a week or made it up with a free delivery or I don’t know some form of sympathy or care, but after waiting my time I still have to wait some more? Does that make any sense!? It’s atrocious honestly and a horrible way to run a business. I don’t know if this is because I’m black or my service means absolutely nothing to them, but either way it’s cool because I have learned my lesson. RATE: ?
UPDATE: It is 5/11/21 and I still have not received my dresser. I just recently got my bed after it being pushed back week after week. And when they delivered the bed they said the dresser would be delivered with it as well. When I realized the dresser wasn’t delivered I had to call and reach out about it and they told me “the dresser had damage and had to be returned” and that I would I have to wait another two more weeks... first of all why was I not informed about this? And two how irresponsible of a company do you have to be to damage an item that is taking so long to come in the first place? That’s just not good customer service. I really wish they made time machines because I would stop myself from buying from them. At this point I can’t do anything but say I took an L, and next time be more wise about who I buy from and do my research. I purchased a king size bedroom set from Kassa Mall furniture @ mattress. I received my order after one month of waiting. Delivery charge was $700.00 .It was threshold delivery. I did not have a chance to check all pieces of furniture because unpacking the boxes would have taken a long time. The Delivery company would not have waited that long for me. Before placing the order, I asked some questions to the Kassa Mall representative about possible manufacturing defects that cannot be detected during delivery because unpacking takes a long time. The Kassa Mall representative said that I don't have to warry about it. I have 24 hours to inspect and take pictures of defects if there are any. I did everything their policy required . The name of the collection is Birsfelden from American Furniture. I would like to warn buyers this is terrible quality furniture. I found many manufactory defects during inspection. Seven of the fifteen drawers had large cracks as shown in the photos, I have posted only a few of them. Many parts were painted as if they were simply sprayed. All the drawers did not open and close well, it took a lot of effort to close them. When opening the drawers of the nightstands, the nightstand moved on the floor. So I had to hold the nightstand with one hand to keep it from moving and open the drawers with the other hand. The mirror on the dresser completely distorted my reflection. I have never seen furniture of worse quality. I sent them many pictures and also called them during 24 hours. They refused take it back, since the furniture was removed from the boxes. Does anyone know how to do an inspection without unpacking the boxes? They said they would send my complaint to the manufacturer and maybe they would send someone to do the repairs. I realized that they were just stalling for time and I was not going to keep the furniture. I knew that after 60 days from the date of purchase I would not be able to return the money through my bank. I filed a dispute with my bank. I am lucky I have got my money back. During the dispute process I also filed an application to the small claim court. When I came to court , the judge said that defendant had not received a summons and the trial would not take place. I called to Kassa Mall Furniture asking for correct address but they said they do not accept any letters from small claim courts of some other States. So, if my bank would not return my money back, I would lose my money. BUYERS WHO DO NOT LIVE IN TAXES DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THEM. IF SOMETHING IS WRONG, YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Read moreI had the most terrible experience! I was shouted at by a salesperson named Katy, who happened to be a guy. I made a cash purchase for a set of 3 pieces and requested delivery before 12:30, as no one would be available after that time. When I called to inquire about the delivery time, Katy informed me that the delivery couldn't happen until after 4:30 pm or two days later. I explained our urgent need due to a party the next day and requested the agreed-upon delivery time. To my surprise, he raised his voice and mentioned that he had adjusted the price for me, implying that honoring the original delivery commitment was now in question.
To make matters worse, there was a significant issue that Katy failed to communicate about delivery options and additional hidden fees. When the couches were finally delivered, they remained wrapped up, covered in dust, and in their boxes. Our living room was cluttered with trash and dust, which took a lot of time to clean up. I reached out to the store to explain that the delivery crew had not unwrapped the furniture. This was something I would expect from a local furniture store, not from a reputable one like Wayfair or Amazon. Yet again, Katy responded by shouting at me.
At this point, I had to clarify that it was never communicated to me that the furniture would be delivered in such a state, and Katy insisted that there were three delivery options: A) Drop furniture outside, B) Drop furniture inside with no assembly (extra fee), or C) Drop furniture inside and assemble (extra fee). He claimed that he had given me these options and even asked my friend, who was with me, for confirmation. But my friend affirmed that Katy had never mentioned these delivery options. It was clear that Katy was not providing the quality service I expected.
This entire experience left me shocked. In no real-world scenario should a salesperson shout at a customer who just spent over $2,000. I have a passion for furniture and frequently update my collection, but I am certain that I will never purchase anything from this store again. The service was subpar, and the attitude towards customers was extremely unpleasant. I strongly recommend that you avoid this place and shop elsewhere, where you can enjoy your purchase and feel valued as a customer by business owners who appreciate your support.
