Visited Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Fairbanks North Houston while exploring churches in Houston. This Romanesque-style Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is mainly designed for a Vietnamese congregation. The Vietnamese name of the church is Giáo Xứ Đức Mẹ Lộ Đức.
The church is established in 1994. It is located adjacent to Northwest Freeway. The triple tower is the recognizable landmark addition to this campus. On the premise, there is a replica of the grotto of Lourdes. A small pond is on the campus and around which there is a walkway with sculptures depicting the story of Jesus Christ's crucification. There is a big parking lot on the campus.
A serene, beautiful haven with rich history, this church offers a peaceful and calming experience. A must-visit for those seeking both spiritual solace and architectural splendor. Add this gem...
Read moreCATHOLIC CHURCH ??? I used to come to this church every Sunday and it definitely is a beautiful church. I also used to come and kick the ball around when I had time. Last Sunday as I was leaving, the security guy came up to me and started yelling and threatening to call the police for absolutely no reason. I was all by myself kicking the ball around in an empty field. As I started leaving he followed me and kept yelling gibberish. Really how hard is it to politely ask someone to leave? Since it was a church I kept calm and quietly left.
Before trying to preach God, I would highly recommend learning to be a Christian and human being to the people around you and your community.
I usually don't post reviews but am doing so now because as a fellow Catholic I hope this doesn't happen to anyone visiting any of our churches regardless of their race...

Cha Huy presided over my first communion and confirmation. Cha Thiên was also a close family friend. The 12 stations of the cross surrounds a man made lake with ducks and geese. Its truly gorgeous. The highlight though is the small chapel in the back located in a man made cave to honor Mary, the Lady of Lourdes. Pre-covid, they would serve authentic viet comfort foods after each mass in the...
