We stayed her due to a crisis at our last place of residence and mixed with the pandemic issues of job loss and income, we had to find a place rather quick and in a good location. Initially we were visiting a friend who was staying there. As we came onto the property and got out of the car....we were unsure of the room number and were trying to call our friend. Almost immediately and seemingly out of nowhere a man showed up and asked if we were lost, or needed help. (he was the night front desk man). At other places this has happened and I've felt as if I was "doing something wrong" or the other people were going to get in trouble because of htier "no visitor" poliuay, but the man was very pleasant and helpful. I was suprised to note that as the couple months ensued we witnessed htis happen. It was different thgough. You could tell that they were doing it in a spirit of "trying to keep us safe" not "getting us in trouble". On the couple occaisions that I witnessed them do that to someone it was an issue that NEEDED to be protected and I felt cared for and looked out for. We had been planning to move but the timing got sped up on the move. The rooms are smoking and non smoking. First night we were in an upstairs smoking room and I am an amputee and needed to be on the first floor with a wheelchair accessible room. There was one available so we moved downstairs. We thought we would only be there a week, but it turned out to be 2 1/2 months. The room was an older, not so cared for room, a little run down. I thought immediately to ask for a nicer one, but we stayed in that one and it ended up being fine. I could have used a little more "newness" in that particular room, as I saw in the one that we visited earlier that day, but it turned ot to be fine. There is an ice machine always which always was on and had ice. any questions were answered promptly from the front desk. There is only ONE washer and dryer, so if you're looking for a long stay, be prepared for that. It is not easy walking access to stores and restaurants, but during the pandemic that was not an issue. I was unable to enjoy the pool, or the nice free breakfast, for it was closed. They were kind enough to provide cups and utensils for our use the entire time though, which helped. The ac worked great and the maid there did a wonderful complete and QUICK job. The only things that would have made it a better stay would be a smoking room, a little newer accomodations, and of course getting some freee stays after all that money we ended up spending, but all in all..... I almost feel like their family. ...
Read moreHousekeeping insists on coming to clean daily even if you decline the front desk will keep calling calling and banging on the door. I was working from my room usually during the time they wanted to clean. Wouldn't mind if they came in while I was working but housekeeping lady brings her 2 year old child everyday with her to clean and the child is all over the room. They will also wait to you leave to come into your room which is very shady and I checked out early because I was so tired of this and being hounded by the hotel and the maids. Toilet seat had a crack and it actually broke in half which the matience was aware of. Total accident and not our fault since it was cracked before us. Now they are keeping my cash deposit. Insane.....mold smell and black stuff coming out of ac and all around the fridge. At first the place seems good but if staying more than a few days you start to see all the things I've mentioned. It's sad that a business where people who work there have access to your room wait until you leave to enter and not clean or even let you know that they were in the room. We are missing a cowboy hat and a few other things which I know was taken from someone that works there. I've never had a hotel treat a guest the way super 8 willowbrook did me. I hope that the housecleaning women find someone to care for her child while she is at work because that child is way to little to be left unattended. She keeps room door open while cleaning so I saw little girl running out of rooms and into the parking lot so many times. I was afraid she would get hit by a car. I just dont see how this is professional or safe. I want my cash deposit back. They should charge people for things breaking out of there control.i can see being charged if I smoked in the room or burned holes in the carpet but not a toilet seat.this place is a joke. I called to ask about my deposit and the owner pretend to not be himself when I clearly knew it was him and know his voice. I player along with his game since he said they owner was out till Monday even though he is the owner...
Read moreThis establishment is discriminatory. As soon as I walked in after being on the road with babies 3 days she looks at me and turns up her face. Then says I have no reservation and after finding me she needs to know how many people I have with me instead of collecting her money and moving along with her life we would’ve been gone right back out before day break. But no she needed to charge me another $80 when the room was $45 for having children. Specifically too many children. She’s Indian her culture has large families as well but sadly in this state it’s only the Indians causing black people problems any other hotel has checked me in with no second questions. And she can’t change me to a different room with 2 beds when we wouldn’t even use the second bed. She can’t cancel and even though I can’t get my money back in time to sleep somewhere for the night with already sleepy babies we have to sleep in my truck again and we’ve reached our destination. Don’t use these people hotels they have multiple family members of their own just staying anyways they don’t want us there or our money they...
