As a church, I've heard this place is amazing. I do not wish to bash this place but I hope one of your staff sees this so you know what's going on with your food bank. I went in for emergency food because my Foodstamps card was lost and we were short on food. I've been to food banks before when I first got pregnant with my son because I was in need and they are a great thing to have because some people really, really need them. In the bag I got instant noodles, all 3 very, very spicy, nearly stale crackers, a can of evaporated milk and a few other things. Almost everything was stale or bad. I'm sure you get these things by donations and it's sad to see that people do that to other people in need. I appreciate that you have a food bank and I don't mean to bash you guys in the slightest. I just wanted to say that it might be a good idea to check these items before you put them in your bags. Though they are a great asset, I don't believe you want people to get sick. I was unable to use practically the entire bag of items. I just don't want to see that happen to anyone else as I know that isn't your fault or intent with the bags. Thanks for the...
Read moreI want to extend our deepest gratitude for your compassion, guidance, and prayers during the preparation and celebration of the funeral vigil and service for our beloved father.
We are especially thankful to Deacon Bill Barnes for your steady support and coordination of the vigil and funeral service details. Your kindness and responsiveness brought us comfort in a time of sadness and stress.
Our sincere thanks also go to Acolyte Scott Morgan, who led the vigil service with care and reverence, and to Deacon Eddy Valbuena for the beautiful bilingual funeral liturgy and burial ceremony held at Klein Funeral Home – Champions and Klein Memorial Park. The way you honored our father's life and faith was deeply moving and meaningful to all of us.
We are truly grateful to be part of the Prince of Peace community and will always remember the love and support you extended to our family. We plan to attend the GriefShare support group meetings and look forward to participating in milestone Masses to continue celebrating our father’s...
Read moreI have been attending Prince of Peace for about 2 months, and I typically attend Vietnamese mass. However, since my husband has converted to catholic, he prefers American mass in order to understand better. It is a challenge for me to learn the prayers in English, though I am a fluent speaker in both languages. That being said, I truly appreciate the church providing the prayers on screen for everyone to read and learn.
I truly love how diverse the church is, and they even provide mass is Spanish! Walking into church, you will see everyone in all ethical backgrounds come together as God's children. I love how welcoming the church members are as we walk in. Everyone greets each other and we all shake hands prior to mass starting.
Mass is quite easier to understand and relate to when it's in English, and not to mention shorter than Vietnamese. Lol! I quite enjoy coming here every Sunday as it brings me and my husband closer to God, and we cherish those moments of attending Sunday...
