After untimely changes in our lives caused my children and I to have to find a place quick and still be in the area for school and work. The beginning should have been a warning, but due to choices I didn't have, this became our only option. I was given a price originally, but that changed as soon as I showed up to pay. The first night we got a room that the heater didn't work in. The attendant showed up hours after I informed him, and he started looking around the room for the knob to adjust the heat. After realizing he couldn't do anything, he finally changed our room at 5 am. I asked if I would be compensated for that night, and he said to speak with the owner in the morning. When I went in to speak with the owner, the owner stated he would have been upset and I should speak with the owner about it when he came back in a few weeks (keep in mind...HE IS THE OWNER!). After weeks of paying a daily rate, cleaning crews not cleaning, my truck getting hit, being lied to about cameras, getting screwed on payments, being harassed by employees asking me for sex, and being lied to constantly, the owner comes requesting more money after already being overpaid several times. One day he says it's 3 days to be paid after zero balance the day before, and the next morning he says it's 6 days. I've watched these people steal from rooms, wreck cars, ignore drug sales, prostitution, and severe domestic violence, but when you ask about the tape, they say they don't have access to it; however, when you say you went in the office to speak with management, they say they'll review the tapes to see what time you went in. They're not honest at all, and when you want to go over the receipts, they get mad. The bad thing is they don't know who is staying on they property to review and report the events. I cannot say what is going to happen, but I know the lady who is there undercover, and I feel very sorry for them when she's done especially if they keep messing with her. She's been there...
Read moreI bought a room for a couple of night and was constantly price gouged by the night worker at the front desk with the glasses he’s very rude and disrespectful and constantly changes prices on convenience items sold at the front desk I bought a bottle of water one of the night and was told the price was a dollar per bottle so I asked for more then one then was told the price for two is three dollars he also added that this was because when you buy more then one there $1.50 a piece so I opted to just buy one later on that very night I asked for another bottle of water and this man then told me there now $1.50 per bottle but like I previously said he sold me the first bottle for a dollar this is ridiculous then on top of that one of the days when I was still asleep he walked in my room asking me to pay for the room witch I was planning on doing when I got up it wasn’t even checkout time and when I told him not to just walk in my room because I could have been naked and shut the door he then proceeded to bang on the door like he was a officer of the law this man is bad representation of the staff at this inn I will never be returning to...
Read moreDecent rooms. Relatively clean. Weekly rate is affordable for low income or potentially transient guests vs the daily rate. Staff and management are indifferent and if not rude, lacking in personality. I stayed at the Normandy location for 2 weeks before being threatened to have the police called to have me removed because I had my girlfriend staying in the room while I was out job searching...I had included her as an occupant on the initial day I rented the room, and was told that was fine. I also received calls to the room telephone threatening to call the police to have me removed on one occasion that I had 2 friends drop off supplies for a weekend bar b que to me and then started to help with food preparation for no longer than 10 minutes...sheesh. The reason? The manager stated to me it was clearly posted at the front desk that there are NO VISITORS at any time allowed in rooms ..ok. Sure, but call the cops?? Nope. We decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. If you are solo or have a significant other and zero friends or family that might visit, it'll be a pleasant stay.. Otherwise, I'd suggest you choose...
