Taco Palenque Federal & I-10 — Restaurant in Houston

This place leaves much to be desired. Drive thru wasn't a good experience. After placing order at speaker I didn't get a response until someone says to pull up to window. After I pay, the worker told me to pull to front of the restaurant and they will bring food out to me.

After waiting for 15 minutes in the front, someone finally brings out food and begins to talk to me rudely saying that the waiting areas for drive thru are actually parking spots numbered 1 to 4 and that I should have parked at one of those parking spots to wait for my order. I explained that I wasn't aware of that and that the person at the drive thru window just said to pull around to the front. Mind you there were 2 other cars parked where I was waiting for their orders, and not in the numbered spots.

Food wasn't fresh either. If you are going to have a drive thru then maybe try serving the food timely at the window, or be specific about your numbered parking spots in the front for waiting.

Best bet is to go to taco truck down the street. Better quality of food that is much cheaper, and although you have to wait there also, the food is fresh and the people do not hassle you about parking in there numbered parking spots. Sad part is the person who was rude had a t-shirt on that said "trainer." So I guess the trainer is there to teach his employees to be rude for no reason.

Food is great but Drive through service is just Blah. 😑 I’ve been here twice and both times I’m sitting at the speaker box waiting for someone to say a simple “hello how can I help you” instead both times after waiting for about almost a minute for someone just say “Can I take your order” and when I complete my order it doesn’t get repeated to me she just says DRIVE TO THE WINDOW and when I get to the window she opens it says the amount again no hello or high. I just think they need to get more training on how to speak to people and be more welcoming to their customers. This is a new location and if that’s a first impression some people won’t come back. Another thing both times I have ordered I get told ok park in the front even if there’s no one at the drive through and the parking lot is small so it’s not fun to have to park.

Oh great they just brought my order and this person did at least read the receipt to make sure it was for me but again didn’t say hello and when she handed me my order she didn’t say anything she just gave me my order and proceeded to walk away. I was the one to say thank you but she didn’t even acknowledge that, she simply turned back around and kept walking she didn’t even say you’re welcome or have a good day! Geeze like are y’all not happy to have customers. Or the employees not happy to have a job. Good customer service goes a long way. This place would be perfect if they treated customers...

I visited this location in the early morning for breakfast and this was my second visit. The first time I ordered the bean and cheese breakfast taco, the chorizo and egg breakfast taco, and a small order of the charro beans. The beans were absolutely amazing! Ordered through the drive thru. Service was quick, fast, and friendly. Prices are reasonable and staff is very friendly. My second visit was even better and I was very happy with my experience and my order. This time in the drive thru I met Ms. Sofia M. and her customer service was super helpful and she was super nice. She was very friendly with me and answered all of my questions with great care about items I wanted to know about from the menu. This time I ordered a super sized order of Charro beans! They were so fresh, seasoned perfectly, and portioned perfectly! It also came with 6 fresh tortillas, your choice of corn or flour. What a great combo! The care in the packing exceeded my expectations. I was concerned they might fall over or spill during my drive back but to my surprise when I arrived to my destination and opened my bag. The packaging was done with great care and consideration. I am very pleased and grateful for such thoughtfulness. I will definitely be visiting again soon and I plan to tell my friends, coworkers, and family about it. Thanks for the great food and awesome experience.
