Inexpensive and tastes good... my favorite combination when going out to eat! This hole in the wall, literally hidden behind a gas station, is much nicer on the inside then you would expect. From the outside we were not sure if they were open given the lack of cars, but hey, we decided to give it a try anyways due to the good reviews here on Yelp. While you wouldn't expect much driving up, the restaurant is kept clean and the food is great. The fajita tacos are where it's at! I also tried the steak (eh) and the barbaca (good but not as good as the fajita). You can get four tacos for about $10, and with the complementary chips and (warm) salsa it's plenty of food. This is pretty authentic Mexican food... full of flavor and fresh ingredients. They also had delicious sweet tea! They consist of lettuce, tomato, avocado, and queso fresco with a choice of meat. The salsas are very much on point! The Verde salsa is fail proof but if you can handle some habanero heat the orange salsa and salsa de molcajete is a whole other level of flavor that you rarely come across in restaurants. You must request this item. Don't think these tacos will be a five order, the size in one can be very filling... The location is quaint but humbling with all the comfort of...
Read moreIt is my third time here, and I have to say , I came back because my previous experience have been delightful, yet today I am very disappointed 😔 as I’m sitting waiting on the food I I just order , it is 93 degrees outside , and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is 81degrees and they have a small fan running , it is very hot 🥵 and when I notified the waitress of how hot it is she pointed the small fan towards my table , but that doesn’t change the fact that you have the kitchen close and inside the restaurant there’s about 20 people counting my party , but not counting the staff and the other swction of the restaurant it’s closed , I don’t think the Houston health department of food safety services would approve of this. Again very disappointed at the environment and customer service ,...
