Sand Isle 2 Vacation Rentals — Hotel in Indian Rocks Beach

We just returned from a week at Sand Isle 2 at Indian Rocks Beach, and was pretty disappointed. We had rented four of the six units, and had the following issues among three of the four units: mold in washer in Unit B - could not wash laundry *no usable outlets in master bedroom w/o moving bed frame or using window ledge shower either ran cold or hot, there was no adjusting between the two. Mold in both showers. No drain in shower - a rubber stopper was inserted *master bedroom does not have a master bath attached. There is a tiny bathroom with a pedestool sink, no vanity or place for toiletries. Master bath is in hallway near second bedroom, with full bed. *Hallway bathroom sink did not have a stopper in sink. Just a hole to drop your things down. *cockroach found walking across counter *closet light out - maintenance repaired right away *wet furniture in Unit F, that you could not use *no table to sit at in Unit F - only bar counter *sliding glass doors in Unit B do not close properly. It will open from far end when you close doors and try and lock it In a nutshell - great location to beach, but needs a lot of updates and...

I stayed in unit C in October. The bad first: There was a roach infestation in my unit. German cockroaches were crawling across the counters when I turned on the kitchen light in the middle of the night. And I saw a few during the day. I called the rental company and they sprayed that day. They offered to move me to another room but it had no beach view so I declined. Even after spraying, my last day I saw a couple in the kitchen, one on my headboard and in the bed. I didn’t sleep well that night.

Also the pool chairs are very dirty. And behind the outdoor bar was filled with dirt.

Now the good: The views are beautiful. And the you can’t beat the beach access. It’s a very close walk to the water and restaurants across the street. Also getting to your room is super fast from the car garage below. The rooms are comfortable and spacious....

Advertised with comfortable, newer furniture but when we arrived the living room furniture was old and worn out. We booked this condo for nearly $300/night based on the photos of particular furnishings but it was not as advertised. We contacted management and all they said “they’re working on updating their photos” and acknowledged that the sofa should be replaced. (May 2024) So watch out for earlier good reviews as this condo is NOT as advertised. And...
