Colonial Court Inn — Hotel in Indian Rocks Beach

What an amazing time of rest and relaxation we had! My husband and I streched a business trip out for a few extra days. I honestly felt like we were in paradise every morning when we looked out at the crisp,clear, blue and green ocean just a sand dune away. Each evening we watched the sun set and turn the skies into a masterpiece of ultimate, indescribable beauty. The location of the Inn could not be more perfect! The front of the Inn is located within walking distance from some of the best restaurants and bakeries in all of IRB. There is a CVS across the street for groceries and such as well as an ice cream/ coffee shop on the corner. (We only used $17 in gas the entire 5 days we were there.) From the back of the apt, we felt as though we were on a secluded beach, the best of both worlds!! We stayed in apt. 3, The Tarapan. It had a lovely "beach cottage" feel, I almost forgot it was a part of an Inn. The bed was very comfortable, the entire apt was clean, had plenty of bath and beach towels, completely furnished kitchen including basic spices and enough coffee to give you time to get to the grocery store. We are already planning the "next time", we plan to make this our home away from home, we know our kids will love it! Jim and Laura took amazing care of us, they are a precious couple. As the saying goes... "3rd times a charm" and it still truly is. Jim and Laura have kept the charm while understanding the need to update the efficiencies. ||||We have a family reunion every 5 years and continue to return to their place. We rent the entire place. This was our 3rd reunion and we wouldn't go anywhere else. You wake up to the beauty and sound of the gulf. ||||The apartments have everything you need (newer refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, tv's, etc.), are kept super clean and you even have a wonderful gazebo w/ a gas grill. This came in handy for our trip as we had the remnants of Earl for two days and all 20 of us were outside most of that time!!! And for those of you who love outdoor showers, I cant forget to add that they have a very big clean one.||||Oh and you cannot overlook the hospitality of innkeepers Laura and Jim who make you feel like you are visiting a 5 star hotel. They are so accommodating and make you feel so welcome. I can't say much more other than this is my 3rd review of them and they get it right each time...||||Thank you...

We have stayed at this location years ago, they have really let the place go, we use to see them clean up and blow leaves and pine needles daily in the past , this trip we didnt hear one blower go off, we had to clean the outdoors ourselves with a broom several times and empty the outside garbage can ourselves , the inside needs updating, pots and pans need to be replaced in both units, bed spreads and pillows need replacing, they had stains on them, sofa bed had dead roaches, the location and ocean water are excellent but we expected the same place as years ago, hopefully they will clean up their act or they will loose big time, for the money we didnt get what we wanted, the place was half empty, just not the same treatment as...
