We stayed in the suite with the King bed. Actually booked the King room, but got upgraded due to Elite status. That was nice.
The hotel is nice. No complaints on cleanliness. Breakfast was good. I liked that there were two meat choices. (Even though bacon was not a choice, which it should always be - haha... love me some bacon. - I still had the choice of ham - or maybe it was Canadian bacon and whatever healthier alternative was being offered.) I have stayed at Marriott's in the past that rotate the breakfast meats and offer vegetarian every other day.
We arrived early to chill and watch TV, nap, whatever before the concert we were attending and had trouble with the TV not getting a good signal. It kept skipping or whatever and was impossible to watch. Front desk sent someone to check it out, but he was unable to fix the problem. He said he was going to give us some extra points on my rewards account for the inconvenience, but I don't think that happened. Oh well. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to see them follow up.
I did not use the gym or pool, but both looked nice.
I have to mention, the lighting isn't the best for applying make-up. It could be a tad brighter in the bathroom area. It needs a lot more light in the full length mirror area in the living "room". Again, not a deal breaker, but wanted to mention.
We stayed in the fall and it was very chilly, but the room was HOT when we arrived, so we ended up opening the window to cool it down a little. One it got down to a normal temperature, the heat was fine. Obviously didn't need to use the air conditioning.
All employees encountered were nice.

Read moreThe overall quality is consistent with the Fairfield brand, which is to say good and a good value. Classifying it as a Cat 3 property (most Fairfields in my experience are 1 -- 7500 points -- or 2 -- 12500 points, which feels about right) might be stretching things a bit, but that might be because it's an airport hotel.
However, where this property lost a few notches in my book is with regards to the treatment of higher-tier Bonvoy guests and the perks they are supposed to receive for loyalty.
Specifically, like most airport hotels it does offer long-term parking; in this case $10/night unless you book one of those Park-Stay-Fly packages for about $50-60 above the member rate. I called prior to arrival asking if, in lieu of an available upgrade or welcome bonus points, I could have two days of the extended parking. (It was a Friday night arrival and I was returning to Indy Monday night.) The desk clerk I spoke to consulted the manager, and said no, that was not possible, Rather odd since the value of the parking would have been far less than the upgrade + points. Perhaps they are restricted by Marriott corporate from doing such things, but I would think that's a pretty trivial thing to give a loyal Marriott guest. Just to be sure, I asked the evening desk clerk upon arrival, and he said the same thing.
To be fair, both individuals I spoke to said their parking lot was being resurfaced over the weekend and that required restriction of available spaces for long-term parking.
But, if it's general policy to do what's described above, it might be something for management...
