We arrived at the Marriott Indianapolis North on Sunday evening and were pleased with the beautiful environment along River Crossing Parkway. On Monday, we had a productive day. We started our morning with a walk along the trail around the lake near the hotel. Later, we attended meetings and, afterward, went out for dinner. We returned to the hotel around 10 PM.||||On Tuesday morning, around 11 a.m., after meeting I went down to look for our truck we discovered it was gone! our truck, a 2024 RAM 2500 Platinum. To our shock, the vehicle had been stolen. We tracked its location via our phone, which indicated it was at 4023 Southeastern Ave., Indianapolis—approximately 18 miles from the hotel. We immediately informed the police, but they took no action at that time. They did not come in person to take a report; instead, they took a report over the phone and directed a detective to our case.||||Despite our persistent efforts, the detective has not returned our calls, and the front desk staff at Marriott Indianapolis North did not offer to assist us in contacting the police or providing any support. We’ve never experienced such helplessness. Marriott was supposed to send the police a digital footprint—such as security camera footage from outside the property—yet they failed to do so. We believe Marriott should prioritize providing this evidence to aid in the investigation, but nothing has been done.||||The night was emotionally traumatic; we couldn’t sleep, feeling helpless and violated. We had to initiate our own investigation to locate the truck. Every time we contacted the police or detective, we only left messages and received no direct contact. Marriott staff did not reach out to check on our well-being or offer any assistance.||||This morning, the police finally went to the suspected area and discovered the vehicle behind a house, as indicated by the last tracking point at 8:30 a.m. They found the truck in a backyard alongside other vehicles, with no license plate—our license had been replaced with a temporary Indianapolis tag. Our belongings—that we packed for 5 months trip to the East Coast and for our European trips was Gone! We didn’t want to carry all in at one time to our hotel left four suitcases, five hanging bags dresses, jewelry, watches, shopping bags, and valuable personal items—were all stolen. Our plans to stay on the East Coast for five months are now disrupted, and we have lost irreplaceable valuables, including personal documents, jewelry, and clothing.||||This incident occurred on Marriott property, yet the hotel staff did nothing to assist or support us. Marriott’s failure to provide security footage or help facilitate the investigation is deeply disappointing. We expected better treatment, especially as Platinum Elite members who choose Marriott for both business and personal travel. The front desk staff, were sympathetic but ultimately unhelpful in providing meaningful assistance or guidance.||||We are devastated by this experience and feel betrayed by the lack of support. We hope this review raises awareness of the inadequate response and the importance of security and customer care. Marriott needs to be responsible for safeguarding their guests and their property. They should have prioritized providing the digital footage to help catch the perpetrators.||||As travelers unfamiliar with the area, this incident has left us feeling vulnerable and helpless.
