Update 11/18/23: came back one month later and the services and stay was just as spectacular as it was a month ago! The front desk ladies: NOVA, APRIL, JADA and manager MICHELLE go beyond and over the top to provide a more than exceptional experience and the most comfortable stay as possible. I even tried out two other Hilton hotels before coming back, please do not group all Hilton hotels the same, this location and staff far supersedes any others- it truly depends on the people that work there and the care and attention they provide to their guests. I can attest that there are zero issues with maintenance and upkeep (it’s actually the most well-kept and modern hotel I’ve stayed at), there are absolutely NO bed bugs, no mold, elevator works great, toilets flush just fine, place is brand new. I am a physician so health and wellness is important to me and always looking out for the very interest in others and those around me. I even watched the housekeeping staff clean my room a few times and they put a lot of effort and pay attention to detail when cleaning to ensure it is spotless and comfortable for your remaining stay/ next guest! I put my FULL confidence and trust in this team to provide the best service and care - another example: I have had important medications sent here and they always ensure someone is there to receive the product and kept safe until I can pick it up from the front desk. The staff here is very responsible, responsive, courteous, polite, and fair. I am a little unsure of previous reviews stating otherwise. It is likely the demeanor of how they may have been approached- I always live by if you show respect you will get it back 1000x fold! They are people too and deserve to be heard and respected regarding hotel policies; please be assured that they only take necessary steps to ensure the safety and well being of their guests! Thank you again for yet another amazing stay. These ladies deserve the best and everything should be done from upper management to ensure their happiness and health as well. They put 110% each day and it’s clearly evident! Keep shining ladies! (And the night shift gentlemen- forgot his name! Always excellent service and even had no hesitation and was happy to let me to change rooms in the middle of the night upon request!). A note on location: it is FINE! I order door dash daily and the drivers had no issue finding the place, there is NO traffic in this area- I’m from California so maybe the perspective of what traffic is, is dependent on what you are used to seeing on day to day basis. Trust me if I could move here just for the “traffic” I would! If you call a few cars on the road traffic, sure, there is traffic! 😃
First review: Best hotel I’ve stayed at. Rooms are brand new, clean, stylish and layout is perfect. I love the full and modern kitchen. I just walked to fashion mall nearby (6 min walk) and there are tons of restaurants and shops to make your stay more enjoyable, especially if you are staying longer than a couple of days, in my case I’ve had to stay for 3 weeks. It felt like my second home. The people (front desk staff- DEVIN!!!- the one who also easily sold me on coming here when I first called!, Nova, Jada, the most amazing managers MASON and Michelle, and even the lovely housekeeping/ancillary staff) were all so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They always seemed to be in a good mood and good spirits which can make all the difference! When I had an issue with one of my rooms they immediately switched me to another. When my toilet seat seemed wobbly, the maintenance guy who was also very friendly, fixed it right away and seemed to really know what he was doing. Breakfast was fresh and tasted good, laundry machines worked well and exercise equipment was brand new. I don’t think I have one complaint about this place. There is very very minor traffic noise due to location but I am an extremely light sleeper and this did not wake me up once or kept me from sleeping well. Thank you to everyone here who made my stay enjoyable and a...
Read moreI'll start with the good. Personally, I didn't sleep well, but I had to be up super early the next morning, so my brain wouldn't shut down. My mother, on the other hand, crawled in bed and was out like a light. This is remarkable because, like me, she rarely sleeps well. She's still talking about that mattress. She has a bad back, as do I, and neither one of us woke up with any sort of back pain. This is absolutely a huge accomplishment and worth raving about! My mom is now looking into purchasing the mattress from the Home2 site. I've seen many others say the same on forums, so I'm tossing in 2 more votes in favor of the mattresses.
The room size was great. We had a double queen, and it was perfect. We didn't use the little kitchenette, since we were only there for one night, but it definitely had everything one could possibly need - plates, cups, I'm assuming silverware (I didn't look), an apartment sized fridge, even a dishwasher. It's a good setup for long term stays.
The bathroom: This was a mixed bag. I liked that the sink area was separate from the toilet and shower. It allowed us to get ready at the same time without standing on top of each other. Also, the soap, lotion, body wash, etc smelled divine! I even took the time to look the products up because I might order some.
The location was "great" and "okay" at the same time. It's located behind the Fashion Mall, which gave great access to local shopping, restaurants, and freeway access. It took some meandering around that area to find this hotel, but it turns out it was more in the back, more tucked away. It backs up to Keystone, which is a very busy road, but while I did hear traffic driving by, it wasn't an issue during the night.
The staff we dealt with were friendly, and there's free wifi and parking.
While I didn't travel with a pet, I appreciate the fact that this chain allows pets. I have an "emergency list" of hotel chains that I keep in case I ever need to stay at a hotel with pets. This is one of the ones on my list. I saw a little stand near the entrance that had bowls and treats available for dogs. I have cats, but I don't think I saw anything for cats. I could be wrong, though. I didn't inspect, and cats are particular creatures. They like what they like, so anything out of their norm might not fly. But yes - they welcome pets. In no way did our room look or smell like pets had stayed there. I'm not sure if they keep pet and non-pet rooms separate, but if not - I didn't notice anything unkempt. I also didn't hear any barking or anything that would keep me up at night.
The "meh": I would put the breakfast in this category. There were plenty of options, so that was good. It was the typical fare seen in a hotel breakfast - waffles, oatmeal (with lots of topping choices,) biscuits/gravy, sausage, eggs, potatoes, fresh fruits, various juice and milk options, etc. Lots to choose from. The "meh" part for me was that, while we got down there 30 minutes after breakfast started, everything was lukewarm to cold. I had a biscuit w gravy, eggs, sausage, and some water. All but the water should've been warm or hot, but none of it was. That was disappointing.
The bad: The half of the bath with the toilet and shower.
First off, this area was quite small. It was like being in a closet. Had I been staying there alone, this might have been okay because I would've just left the door open. There was a sewer smell, which wasn't pleasant. I can't imagine our room was the only one like this. Also, the shower was lukewarm at best, and I was the first to take a shower. My mom said the same after she got out. In addition, there was a grainy substance in the bottom of the tub, almost like housekeeping sprinkled a cleanser but forgot to wash it out.
All things considered, I give this a 3. The price was right in line with other hotels in the area, so I'm not sure I'd choose this one again. I saw a Hampton Inn nearby, so if I were looking for another room at some point, I'd probably look...
Read moreI got 2 queen suite rooms for Saturday and checking out on Sunday for myself and family. To say that im disappointed/upset is an understatement. After traveling for 3 hours we got to hotel at 230 to check in, only 1 room was available and the other she said would be ready at 3pm they were still cleaning them and would call me by 3 to come back down to check in. I came back down to lobby at 315 to get into my room and she said none are available still cleaning them. I wasn't able to get in my room till 530 checked in and went up to room, my grandson went to take a shower and grabbed a towel from under sink and it was soaked so went to grab another one and all of them were soaked cause sink/wall had a steady leak. I immediately called front desk and spoke to Jayda ( Front Desk) who checked us in and she told me to pack stuff back up and come back down to lobby she would put us in a different room. We packed everything up came down to lobby for her to say there were no more rooms available and she would have to call maintenance who lives offsite, at this point im so upset cause got in room late, water leaking and room smelled musty, repacked just to be sent back to same room. Maintenance comes looks at it agrees pipe needs fixed leaves and then comes back 15 - 20 mins later gets it fixed but my room smells horrible. I went down talked to Jayda she was going to comp room but was only able to do 50%.and said she would talk to manager about getting it comped. Next morning im in a dead sleep in the dark and my door opens and house keeping comes in at 9am and caught me offguard and i screamed, I jump up go to the door, mind you i have the do not disturb on my doorknob and I see a girl who speaks no english and asked if I could help and she just scurried off without answering me. Now im in the room by myself and I feel unsafe and ready to check out. I was shocked because front desk didn't seem to care. This has never happened at any Hiltons i stay at and surprised about this property because i always have a...
