Quality Inn & Suites Airport — Hotel in Indianapolis

This hotel was absolutely horrible!! We travel a lot with my son's baseball, and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had!! When we checked in, we got a non smoking room and it was infested with cigarette smoke! My son had asthma and I have allergies to smoke. We got put in another room and one of the bed's sheets were so dirty. They look like they had black tar all over them. And didn't have a comforter on the bed. I went to the service desk to get my own sheets and comforter so I could have a clean bed! As I'm waiting in the line, 2 diff guest were down there complaining bc they both got put in rooms that was already occupied! And one guest came back and complained bc the room they got put in was still dirty!! Smh!! Their was also 2 dead roaches on the bathroom floor. And the toilet paper was only 1/4 full. We had to use Kleenex to wipe with bc they never did bring us the toilet paper. We couldn't enjoy the pool bc kids were running around in there like crazy with no adult supervision. So we went back to our room. The next morning... At 6:30 am, The breakfast (sausage and eggs) was super cold and when I asked the lady if they had anymore waffle mix, she got rude with me and told me that they didn't have any. So we didn't get to eat breakfast their either. Kids were running up and down the halls at 2:30 in the morning and knocking on doors!! Plus the walls are real thin so u could hear the pep next door " doing their thing". Thank goodness my son was already asleep!! When I go looking for a hotel, I always ck for a complementary breakfast and a indoor pool. Of which both didn't help us out on this trip. I tried to complain to the desk clerk and she gave me a complaint form which I filled out and gave back to her. Also she gave me the managers phone number which I left a voice message with. This is the worse hotel my family has ever stayed at. We had already paid for a week in advance. We noticed a horrid smell as soon as we walked in our toilet stopped up. The lights would go off and on. At any time. None of the ice machines worked. They were filthy. Carpet was filthy. People that were real dirty were hanging out in front. Smoking. Dogs were barking all over that hotel. Pieces of the wall was coming off. Maids poor things didn't speak English. We singed up according to what was on the list of ammities to have a room with a kitchenette. Checked into the room. The whole place wreaked of ciggarette smoke. It had a small refrigerator in it and not even a microwave. When I told the front desk person. He said. NO we don't have that. We had to stay because we had already paid in advance. Next morning someone opened the door thank God I was standing there I shut and locked it. A little later a huge man started banging on the door threatening to bust it down acusing us of smoking. Threatened to call the police. my Mother who is 86 years old myself and my sister were. Terrified. I called 911. The police came out. Asked me how long it would take us to get our stuff out I. Said about an hour. That huge man was with him. Said we weren't getting one-dime back. He Said they have a no pet policy. Clearly on this hotels website says it's pet friendly we have one miniture dog. The officer. Told us if we weren't out in an hour we were going to jail. So we hurried packed our stuff had to push my Mother out in a wheelchair in her robe to make sure we got out in time. Will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!!!also said they have a no pet policy. it says pets are welcome on their website. ROTTEN EVERYTHING HERE. Well basically it's under construction because it's no longer a Quality inn but it's now called the Red Roof inn. I won't kill them to much because of this very reason but this hotel should've been closed for remodeling but because of a major event for the week they decided to remain open. Phones in the room were for display, no smoke detectors are in the room and you can definitely see why it's being remodeled. On a good note the staff was super nice, friendly, and understanding with working with what they had to work with. No ice in ice machines and all though I appreciate the shuttle service it's unorganized as I've ever seen in my life. Me, my wife and 2 little girls waited an 1 hr 30 minutes to be picked up after missing the first shuttle van the driver said he'd be back to pick us up at a different location where he picks up from. So we walk down the street to the location he told us but to our surprise another driver comes and park in a totally different location so guess what? We missed it again. Called the front desk and they said it's nothing they can do and they don't have the shuttle driver number. Therefore had to wait again and in the meantime so is 20 more people SMH. So of course everyone is aggravated at this point so all 20 of had to pile into that van because it's the only one and they weren't trying to wait another 30 minutes. What a mess! Oh wait there's more... Booked a deluxe room with a fridge, went to front desk because you can't call it to let them know and the response was sorry we don't have any refrigerators, ironing board had no cover. So couldn't save leftovers or iron our clothes the whole 3 days here. Again this place had no business being open while preparing for...
