The fact that this location is under renovation isn't the problem... but because their renovating they find any excuse to either over charge you with no explanation ( unless you catch them) or keep you deposit for the littlest things... ALSO WITHOUT TELLING YOU. Most of the staff like the young man at the front desk are friendly and have okay customer service. But the actual MANAGER is the most biased, judgemental rude and insensitive human I've ever met. I stayed at the hotel for 8 days WITHOUT being told they had a weekly special that would be cheaper for me. lThis manager day 2 of me being there kept complained about a couple of cheap white towels and wash clothe had a black Staub on them they couldn't get out... but in reality I kept telling him my towel from home got mixed in accidentally and washed. He proceeded to keep bringing up these towels that only cost maybe 5 bucks at the DOLLAR STORE... that they was ruined and costly repeated like that is not a normal depreciation or loss with inventory. O was told they Day I checked out that I would recieve my deposit back, all for the manager to keep my ENTIRE DEPOSIT WITHOUT NOTICE. All my stay he gnever mentioned i wouldn't be returned but kept find an excuse to complain about these same TWO towels. The day I check out I recheck in close by but because of the snow storm my battery died so I left it in the same spot. The very next day seeing working on and waiting on getting my truck jumped and moved... HD treated to have it towed within 30mins while sitting in it. Even tho I just spent 1000 for 8 days while staying there ad seeing I was having vehicle trouble... he rudly told me it wasent his problem and was dark heartedly willing to cause me more financial anguish for my truck still being there the very next day even though I WAS STAYING AT THEIR OTHER LOCATION which SHARE THE SAME LOT. As a disabled military BLACK mother of 3, I have experienced many things and one of thoes things is the repeated superior and judgmental looks he often gave me. Sadly I WAS WARNED to not stay at that location because of other customers experiences and simular tones from management. I watched another customer check out also complain about his deposit being taken unjustly as well. Then the fact that my room and other rooms couldn't use our toilets for over 6 HOURS and the loud banging and noises from them still doing construction work on most of the second floor.... and never became a difficult Custer and complained. I ADVISE if you actual want fair and descent customer service and treatment, you DONT want to worry about being charged more per room randomly because they can and will BUT MOSTLY if you don't want to just give away your deposit over regular customer wear... NEVER STAY HERE! The RED ROOF INN on Rockville rd allows pets they have better quality rooms and furniture but the 2 most important things is that they don't sneakly over charge you and their multi type of choice rooms are CHEAPER...
Read moreMy husband and I were traveling back from our wedding and stopped in Indianapolis for the night. Our two dogs were with us and we were looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay at that would allow our furry family. When I went inside the man at the front desk was talking on his cell phone. I asked what the price was and if my dogs were allowed to stay. He informed me that dogs were allowed and I specifically asked if there were any extra fees for my dogs to which he responded there were no extra fees. We decided to stay- he swiped my card and took my ID all while taking a personal call on the phone and giving me poor customer service. I went out to get the dogs and walked through the lobby, with my husband, past the front desk, directly in front of the man, to go to our room. The following morning we were getting ready to leave when the same man follows me out into the parking lot, asking me what room number I was staying in. I told him what room I was in and he told me no dogs were allowed in there and he asked who checked me in. I informed him that he was the one who had checked me in the previous evening and I told him, at check-in, that I had dogs. He started to argue with me saying that did not happen and that my dogs were not allowed in the room he put us in. He then said I would need to pay an additional $20 for my dogs. I reiterated that I had asked about all these things the previous night and was put into the room after making him aware that our dogs would be staying with us. I told him that we were going to be leaving and then put my dogs into the car-- he rudely said "Oh my God!"and walked back into the building. I went back into the room to gather the rest of our things and was not in there for more than a minute before he started to call our room. We walked up to the front desk to check out and he started to tell us to pay the fee for the dogs again. My husband asked why we weren't informed of this at check-in and informed the man that we walked by him at the front desk with our dogs the previous evening, and no one said a word. It was only after my husband talked to him that he even waived the fee. As we walked out of the hotel he chanted that we were lying and not telling the truth. I truly think he was trying to take advantage of a young woman by upsetting me and then making me pay for additional fees, I highly doubt he would have reacted this way to a man. I have worked in customer service for the past 10 years and have never witnessed this kind of service. It is not our fault that we were put in the wrong room because the man was too busy talking on his cell phone to pay attention to what our needs were. Most places would admit that their staff made a mistake instead of arguing and shouting insults at their customers. Horrible...
Read moreTo be honest, this establishment doesn't even deserve a star at all. My first experience here wasn't pleasent at all, but I was under the impression that the new owner had jus purchased this hotel and was in the process of improving it. Well I was wrong and here is my story. My first experience we asked for all rates was only given $273 a week, then for 3 extra days was charged $230. Our room, the people on our left were good, the people on our right were not. Jeremy and Mandy are their names, the young lady is known for starting drama with paying residents. First she told us everybody's business, then lied about her health, and tried to have us put out. The owner and the manager are very much aware of this behavior from this young lady due previous experience. I have an or so I thought I had an good relationship with the managers, but I soon found out I was wrong. When we checked in our room in September, it was hot and the A/C was broke, they moved us to another room that was infested with roaches and we went through two cans of RAID before they sent the housekeeper to exterminate and us getting our original room back. We were trying to move and had to split our payments only to be charged more and more every week. We damn near exhausted all of our income on this room to only find out tbey did have a monthly rate, they were letting panhandlers stay for $5-10 here and there because they had been there for 2 years, Jeremy is an unlicensed maintenance man working on electrical and plumbing at the hotel. I was told a lie that put me and my boyfriend in an altercation with Jeremy and the owner MAC was there. I was paying Jeremy is living rent free and was allowed to get away with getting up in my face. Mac the owner didn't call the police nor did he compensate me for my troubles at all. These people ran my card into an negative account of $220 then gave me an fraudulent printout of the money I've paid with debit cards and cash. I've made an claim with the BBB, never in a million years did ever think this would be my outcome, I will NEVER stay there again nor will I be recommending anyone else stay, this would include my worst of enemies. They charged my card up until 11/20/2016, after I asked for a ledger if payment, they became rude and belligerent towards me and my boyfriend. I wonder how they would of felt if I'd called the police on them after Jeremy got up in my face in front of the owner Mac, whom only stepped in after my boyfriend got...
