Do not come here it is not worth the 3 hour drive me and husband had. I paid over 75 dollars for 2 asada plates and 1 nacatamal. . They gave me 1 strip of steak .Once I complained the staff gave me attitude and told me that there steaks are worth over 11 a pound did not want to refund me. my steak was super tough and my rice very cold . This was such a disappointing drive. I expected the staff to be more welcoming and accommodating because the prices on the website are not the same in store. The tv was off the place looks dirty no inviting music. If I was gonna spend 75 dollars it’s worth going to a steak house. They don’t even package your left over food. In Olive Garden they package your food an I paid 40 dollars for good service and better food.

I got the grilled pork with gallo pinto, fried cheese, and fried plantains. The pork was great nice fatty parts and flavorful. I didn't like the gallo pinto at all, I'm not sure what it is but it taste very off. The plantains were a bit too over fried. Their cacao, pork and cheese were all great! Service is pretty basic. Walk up to the window, order, have a seat and pay. There's not table service but that's expected at a fritanga. Atmosphere was a bit lacking. It's a clear "hole in the wall" vibe. I think the AC was busted because it was a bit stuffy.

Food was good, price good, great service, if you show up before 12 theres no wait. The queso frito was delicious but it was all very good especially the quantity. I recommend this place if you want to taste something different from a Mexican restaurant. Its not the same type of food and also its very delicious. You should definitely try their picante salsa which is not spicy at all but actually tastes great on the rice.

I gave one star because I can’t give less. They charge based on their mood or if they think you look like a foreigner. That's why they don't have a menu with listed prices. That's why, if you check reviews from different people, the prices don’t match. Everyone is charged a different amount.

Prices are high, and unfortunately, the quality doesn't match. This was my second visit — the first time I got fried cheese and paid the same as this time, even though I specifically asked for no cheese (which should cost less). Soda doubled in price from $1.50 to $3, and they charged tax over 7%. The rice was dry and cold, the meat was tough and also cold. Worst of all, the staff had a bad attitude. I really enjoy grilled meat, but I’ll be looking for a better place...
