I go to a different DQ all the time and get the same exact thing every time. One time the other night this location gave me a smaller, different cup. I let it go and didn't say anything. My usual price for a Large Orange Berry Julius is $4.35. Then tonight, a Sunday evening my drink came to $5.11. I asked if the price changed and just paid the money. I had repeated myself a few times that I wanted this type of drink. The lady came back with the wrong drink and I told her but she said I was wrong ant that is what I ordered. I am like, no I didn't. She responded, "YES, YOU DID." I will admit her attitude had me very angry at that point. I just said give me a refund and she said "No Refunds." Wow, really? I never touched the item. So, I had the manager come over. She said she could only replace the drink. I told her I didn't want to do business with them do to their "f'-ing" attitude. Then the manager said take this drink or leave it. Also told me to leave or she was calling the police. Are you serious??? 20 seconds in their drive thru and they alienate a customer this much? So I just left. Didn't get what I paid for, didn't get my money back. I have never had anything like that happen before.
I called when I got home to ask if they were a franchise or corporate and the name of the owner/general manager. The first guy I think named Tim said he was a manager and wouldn't give me the info I asked. Then he hung up on me. I called back, a woman picked up named April and said she was the owner then she hung up on me.
Judging from the other reviews and my experience tonight, these employees need fired or a complete turnaround in their customer service skills. I know the job is terrible and low paying but don't be mad at the customer that paid $5.11 for a drink which is just a few bucks shy of your hourly wage. But who knows why you are mad, I just know you shouldn't argue with a customer like that. Just make what they asked for. That is...
Read moreAvoid this location at all costs. It's worth driving out of your way to go to any Dairy Queen location other than this one.
Employees are rude and care zip about customer service. They apparently aren't interested in making any money either as the neon Open light on the door and menu board light at the drive-thru are almost always off after dark giving the appearance that they're closed. Don't even think about going anytime within the last hour before close...no one will be there, they frequently close early.
The last time I ordered a blizzard I paid for a medium and was given a small. The person at the window argued with me about what size I received, though the cups are lined up over the window. When I referenced this he stated I got what I paid for and closed the window. Wow!
The thing that ensured we will NEVER go back was free cone today. Yes, free ice cream is always nice, but the purpose of free cone day was to raise awareness and money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This location participated in the event for only a few hours in the morning, so those who waited to bring their families after dinner were out of luck. We waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes only to be greeted with a sign stating the promotion (which was now apparently over) was for "a free cone with an order"...so not so free either. So much for paying it foward...very disappointing.
The only positive thing I can say about this Dairy Queen is that we've never had an issue with the...
Read moreDon't go to this Dairy Queen!!! II ordered a 4pc chicken basket with a Sprite and a small peanut butter parfait at the drive though. I was handed the chicken basket and a drink that I was told was the parfait in a soda cup with a lid. I realized that no Sprite was given to me and assumed it was substituted for the parfait. It wasn't. And, later when getting back to work I opened it to find a clear frozen slushie with hot fudge in/on it. I showed my co workers where they agreed that the workers were definitely trying to pull a joke or just complete lack of giving a care. I don't think anyone orders a slushy with chocolate. So now, I drive back to the Dairy Queen to go inside. It takes several minutes for anyone to address me. No one was in a uniform. They were all wearing basketball shorts and cut off Tshirts with no hats or hair nets. Money was being handled and then food made without gloves. I finally speak to the front and show them the pile of frozen clear slushie with fudge in it. And, I asked what is this? She couldn't tell me. I told her what had happened. She tells someone to get me a new one and they make it right about five minutes later. No apology or anything. They weren't even busy. I just stood there while no one was moving or doing anything productive. Long story short, don't waste your time...
