Shrimp Hut — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I walked into the location, and it was completely empty. I said, “Hello? Is anybody there?” but no one responded. There’s a swinging door that leads to the kitchen, and I clearly saw a light-skinned girl in the back who noticed me standing there. I waited about 10 minutes and called out “Hello” again still no answer. So I called the store while I was still inside. I saw the same girl in the back answer the phone. I told her, “I’m in the front waiting to place an order I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes.” She hung up on me. Five minutes later, a dark-skinned girl named Destiny finally walked up and took my order, but she had an attitude. I try to support Black-owned businesses, but it’s frustrating when some of them don’t show effort or professionalism. People apply for jobs they don’t want to do. This kind of poor service seems to come from the top down, and unless the management changes, this business might not last. 9/25/23 Walk in order for lunch

*Customer Service Young lady who took my order was dry No hello ,No thank you ,No have good day or nothing I told her thank after handed for food to me and she said nothing Just Dry attitude. Lol. It's not funny but you have too laugh 😆 😂 Employees have to be nice if they even feel like it. That's what they are paid for as well. That's why it's called Customer service. Send them home if they don't want to be there. It will hurt the business foundation. Employees can make or break you. I will come back again but if I don't feel like my money is appreciated I will not return and will post again on why. Chic fil A workers might not want to be there but they are always professional and courteous blacks and whites. So it can be done.

Went here yesterday and got the catfish dinner. All dinners come with coleslaw, fries, and hush puppies, but it doesn’t tell you that online when placing an order so I also ordered a side of hush puppies and a side of red beans and rice. So first, I don’t know if they used old grease or just old ingredients, but those hush puppies were bad, like super sour, I bit into two of them and spit it out. The fries were cold and soggy, which is weird because they were just finishing my order when I came to pick it up. The catfish was decent, but small and not worth the money. The red beans and rice were undercooked and had no flavor, and of course the slaw went uneaten, I don’t know anyone that eats coleslaw. This place was a waste of almost $30. Just go across the street to Duckett’s if you want better food, the only reason I didn’t go yesterday is because Duckett’s is closed on Sundays...
