I have been staying at the Best Western Date Tree Hotel in Indio regularly, and I can confidently say this place is second to none! From the moment I step through the doors, I am greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that makes every stay feel like a home away from home.

A massive thank you to Aaron Segal, the general manager, for his unwavering commitment to excellence. It’s clear that he takes great pride in ensuring that every guest’s experience is nothing short of exceptional. His attention to detail, professionalism, and friendly demeanor make a world of difference. He truly sets the standard for outstanding customer service.

I also have to give huge appreciation to Esmeralda and Jessica—two absolute rock stars! Their kindness, efficiency, and dedication never go unnoticed. No matter the request, they handle everything with a smile and go above and beyond to make guests feel valued and taken care of. I had to go to my grandfathers Funeral there in INDIO so I had stayed for just the night, Me my daughter and my little brother! It was a night I wish I can just take back. I come from a town near FRESNO and its about a 5-6 hour drive to get there. once I arrived I had to go to a Viewing, by the time I was done which was a little after 9:30 by the time I drove there to the Motel I was given my FIRST Room in the First Building. after unpacking and showering I had to go pick up my little brother I noticed the door would not lock completely and I didn't want to leave the room like that I let receptionist know, he apologized and said maintenance would not be there till the next day. So he had put us in SECOND ROOM in there SECOND building, as I started getting close to our room it started to smell like WEED and as I walked into our room it smelt like CIGARETTES really bad , I was not going to have my daughter stay in there. So we had took all of our bags back out and put it back in our car and let the receptionist know, He apologized once again and said he can put me in another room by then it was already past 10:30 I was Extremely TIRED and just wanted to sleep!! He had put us in our THIRD ROOM in the THIRD BUILDING! So we had moved all of our things to our new room, by then I just put all of our things on the floor and didn't unpack anything it was already 11 and I was just so over it! as I was moving the Blankets to lay down I had seen a bug , I was so mad but didn't think anything of it because I was just so tired and just put it in the trash. That morning!! I was up late and had an hr to get ready and go to the funeral but I had woke up with my legs itching like crazy! Once I had looked in the mirror I had seen I had bites ALLL Behind my legs!!!! I was furious and so upset Both me and my daughter had bites all over!! because I had no time to go and complain I had no choice but to just get dressed and leave! Once I had got back home I tried calling to get a Refund because I think that is only fair everytime they said there was no manager or they would need to call me back! This place was awesome. We wanted to stay near Joshua Tree and stay in a hotel that had an open pool since Covid closed the one at our complex in San Diego. This hotel keeps the pool open 24 hours, which is absolutely amazing. Especially when it is still 90 degrees outside when we got back from stargazing in JTNP at 10-11pm each night. I asked them if they could do something special for my GFs birthday. They gave us a free upgrade to a suite, and the room was beautiful, with great views of aforementioned pool. The staff was super friendly. I love coupons and deals. These guys gave me both my hotels.com rewards and BW rewards, which was amazing too. Then they let me add another night at the same rate, and use my $10 off card from BW rewards. Score. Covid closed the buffet breakfast, which was disappointing since it looked like it would have been amazing. But they did a grab and go bagged breakfast with water, fruit, a muffin, and a breakfast sandwich. That was actually pretty good too, since I could heat up the sausage and eggs on my stove and toast the English muffin to make myself a nice warm sandwich. Indio ain't Beverly Hills. But we were there to hike, not paint the town red...and it's close to Palm Desert and Palm Springs if we did. The hotel is surrounded by industrial businesses and there is a train that comes by a couple times a day. But we live near train tracks in San Diego and that didn't bother us at all. We really liked this place and would definitely come back. Especially since they allow pets, were very nice people, and hooked us up for her birthday. We loved it.
