Caution-- Employees are frauds and thieves. Terrible experience. Pulled in at 2 am and the night clerk was sleeping. Went back 2 or 3 times for help and he was passed out every time. Mind you, this is the person who is also manning the security cameras and all the money. We were extremely exhausted from traveling for 12 hours and went to bed. We wake up 20 minutes before check out and ask the front desk if she can retrieve a Bible for us since our room didn't have one, my boyfriend was just recently turned on to studying it and was listening to audios of it instead of reading. We realized Gideon's put Bible's in hotels in hopes that people will take them and read them. So he did, he took one. And this is the most important part to remember for later-- the front desk clerk CAME to our room, we opened the door and she gave us one. At this time she did not comment on anything out of the ordinary with our room. We packed the car within 10 minutes and I went to the front desk to check out. I was up there for another 10 minutes trying to figure out the charges on my card, I then asked if we're okay to go and if our room is ok to receive our deposit back ( they require a $100 hold on your credit card for a deposit). She said " You're all good" and reversed the hold to get our $100 back. We leave. An hour down the road I realized ANOTHER $100 charge , so I call the hotel and RUBY claims we STOLE the Bible , and that we smoked Marijuana in our room!!!
So now we are an hour away, we cannot defend ourselves and prove we didn't smoke in the room. They would not refund the money. We told her the Gideon's donate those Bible's to your hotel encouraging others to take it and read it. That's why there's a storage room with a bunch of them !! She contradicted herself and claimed they didn't learn the room smelled like smoke until the housekeepers went to the room to clean it -- then 5 minutes later after we put up a fight she then claimed our NEIGHBORS complained that we were smoking. I demanded to know when the complaint was made because SHE/RUBY CAME TO OUR ROOM MINUTES before we checked out and everything was ok -- she refused to tell me when the complaint was made. She didn't comment when she came to our room, she didn't ask us to wait while they check our room, she didn't mention anything about smoke while we were checking out. The whole time I was at the front desk I thought she had someone looking at our room, why would I wait up front for my money back if I literally just smoked in my room 10 minutes before leaving ? You can look at the cameras and see there is only a 20 minute window we could have possibly been smoking in the room. For 10 of those minutes we were in and out loading up the car. The other 10 minutes my boyfriend will be seen waiting at the car for me and I am at the front desk.
They are frauds and theives and took my $100 AFTER they refunded my money. I did NOT sign anything authorizing them to take ANOTHER $100 after the initial $100 that I agreed to.
Days Inn--- if you're going to charge people for smoking in a room, then you need to TRAIN your employees to tell the difference between SMOKE and a FRAGRENCE. We did not smoke in our room and you've left us defenseless and unable to prove we didn't by charging us AFTER we left and AFTER you agreed to give me my deposit back.
We were told on the phone that the police can come and decide if we smoked in the room or not and I told them we are an hour away !!!! How can we do that now ? This is absolutely absurd , we are a young traveling couple who doesn't have the money to throw away $100 on something we didn't even do ! Also, why on Earth would someone smoke in a room when they surrendered $100 to prove they would take care of the room.
We got taken advantage of and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They would not give us our money back and they have absolutely no proof we smoked in there. Look at the facts -- you came to our room right before we left.
Caution people... They are not...
Read moreThe hotel was nice and looked clean, my friend and I checked in on 9/30/23 in the afternoon and the gentleman on the reception was very nice, professional and friendly. Next morning I woke up around 9:20am itching from my left knee, I had 3 swollen bites that I reported to the lady who said her name was Debra ans she was kind of rude asking me if I went outside and mayby it was mosquitoes bites, I told her that I had just woke up. I told her I didn't think it was mosquitoes because I was under the blankets and it happened when I was asleep under the blankets, I noticed the fitted sheet was ofd rhe mattress had stains and it was dirty. She didn't even pretend she was concerned and she h Just gave my friend and me an attitude, that was very unfortunate, I asked her for a complaint form she said they didn't have any I asked her for her full name and she said Debra, I asked her again for her full name and she repeated only her first name with an attitude, I asked for a 3rd time what was her full name and she gave it to me with an attitude. My friend's husband called and she gave him an attitude as well. The room was under his name, Michael McKinney. We were not even asking for a money back or anything like that, just some empathy and an apology. I'm still itching by the way and have the bites red and...
Read moreI only gave them 1 star because I got my money back with no issues. If not, they just wouldn't have a rating. I checked in here for a Bachelorette weekend. When I first got there - this place did not have the feel of a Days Inn. (I usually stay at Days Inn's in various cities) I asked about the hotel and the girl told me they actually just remodeled to be up to code with Days Inn specs. Hmmm. They still needed to undergo another remodel in my opinion. I got the room key, went back to the car to grab my stuff, went to the side door to get back into the hotel and the damn door would not open with the key. Stood there trying at 7 o'clock at night several times, it wouldn't open! So, I'm thinking it's my key. Another guest came by, tried opening it, it didn't work. We had to go around. Ok. Went to the room - it was not the cleanest room for Days Inn standards. The carpet was in desperate need of a vacuum and the counters needed cleaning. They were so dusty, which showed they hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. After seeing the condition of the room, I opted to check myself out and find...
