Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Indio

First time trying this DQ since it opened. I came ready to try and give it an honest shot. Everything seemed ok until I was nickel and dimed over ranch. So this review is for the owner, it’s understandable you have to pass the cost along to the consumer but after a single upsized meal runs me over $15 you still have to program your associates to charge me $1.79 for two ranch cups that are poured in the store in to-go containers?! That left a really bad taste in my mouth before even trying the food. Now the honest review of the food, the burger was hot, fresh and good, (it’s the only thing that kept me from going back In for a refund.) The French fries were awful, they had a strong fish after taste not even your $1.79 ranch could mask. Fries should never be fried in the same oil as fish Pattie’s absolutely disgusted. Dairy Queen was a Disappointment! We swung by for an Oreo Blizzard and a medium sundae, but what we got was a joke. The sundae was barely filled, and the Blizzard? It was mostly crumbs—like they were saving the good stuff for themselves. When we asked them to remake it, they must've thought it was a comedy show because it was even worse! The staff was laughing when we got handed the new blizzard back. Then, when we asked for a refund, the guy who looked like a mix of Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory and a bad comedian tried to be funny instead of remaking the Oreo blizzard. My boyfriend and I went to Dairy Queen to get ice cream and a snack and spent 20 minutes in the drive thru line just to get to the window and only get one ice cream because one of the ice creams was the incorrect flavor. I then waited at the window for an additional five minutes and then was told to pull around because they didn’t have brownies. They didn’t give us our food at the window either, just the one ice cream and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes on one ice cream and some food before I had to go in and ask about my order.
