This is not a hotel and it is surely not worth the price charge, this should be no more than $50 dollars a night at the most. It is a motel and an old outdated one at that, and dirty. I don't mind outdated places but when the carpet has a big red stain on it and the tub is peeling and the curtains also have a red stain (is it blood, kool aid, wine??? who knows). The smell of the room and the look was just depressing. Along with me testing out the two old hot plates and the larger one didn't work. We are visiting the OC and we're staying here for a medical treatment for 3 weeks and thought this place being close to the the spectrum would be at least decent with no frills and at least clean, as the area has many nice shops and we know the area really well. I thought an extended stay here couldn't be bad as it is mainly a nice area and there are several hotels around that are all decent but this place was not it. It is not a 2.5 star or even a 2 star hotel, it is a 1 star slum motel and that is being generous. We sat in the room for 45 mins looking for another place to book a stay in. So in total we didn't spend one night not even half a day in the room and we returned the key quickly (didn't use the bathroom, didn't unpack, didn't remove shoes) but they refused to give a refund not even a partial one considering they have an empty room to sell again (seem like a very shady move) and the front desk was not helpful at all....we don't have money to throw down the drain on a room that we booked but couldn't and shouldn't stay in as we didn't even feel safe with our toddler. Plus no business center or any other amenities a regular place has to offer. I could live without a pool and all but a simple business center why isn't there one??? I still have to work even though we are here. First time at an extended stay and last time, it was small, overprice, outdated and dirty and they couldn't even honor a partial refund for what we booked at least on a room that we never slept one single day in . For the price of the room a night, there are several different choices in the area that you can stay in that are more up to date and clean, some cost the same, some less and some 2 or 3 dollars more...Please do yourself a favor and avoid this one at all cost unless you don't mind throwing money out window cause you will have to book somewhere else to sleep if you do chose this place, save yourself the time (we learned the hard way). I would rather sleep in a car than sleep in this motel. IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE. I feel like the 5 star reviews are strange, is there a secret place these people are staying at. I really am not picky but it says a lot about a place when you rather spend extra money you really don't have knowing than sleep at the dirty false advertise place that refuses to refund you money for their motel that you don't feel safe sleeping in. I don't recommend this place for families or business or anything. This motel needs to be shut down and upgraded to less of a slum status. Do a section or a room at a time but stop taking people's money by allowing them to book in something so nasty to where they have to cut the stay short to stay in a more cleaner and...
Read moreWe moved from North Carolina to California recently, in the last week of April 2018. We were looking for a hotel with kitchenette. We came across âExtended Stay Americaâ at Irvine, California in the web. So, we went ahead and booked for 5 nights. We didnât know how the disaster was waiting for us. First, they do NOT have any kitchen utensils inside the room. For your reference, herewith I am attaching snapshots of the drawers near the kitchen. As you see, they are all empty. So, the rule is, you will have to place a request for all plates and bowls in the front desk. They will be delivered to you when they are available. So, you begin thinking that things are in place, you need to place the request and they will be delivered at your door. Here comes the surprise. When you wait for the dishes and they donât come, and you begin whatâs going on, you will be replied at the front desk that they have one set of utensils and they get circulated one after another. Then you get raged and raise your voice. If you are lucky, those plates will reach your room. Then you get cool down and rush to cook something as you are hungry.
Second disappointment begins here. I am not sure of any other room, but in room no 152, the burner was not working at all. After heating the pan for about 10 minutes, the bread was not even close to a toast. Herewith again I attach a snapshot taken. Imagine someoneâs disappointment level when a bread even doesnât toast after 10 minutes.
Third, if you are thinking of getting salt and sugar or pepper in this room as you have booked a kitchenette, then probably you are still in the Aliceâs wonderland.
Fourth, do you have a smart phone or tablet or laptop that you are thinking to connect to the Wi-Fi provided in your room in this hotel? My earnest request is that you need to forget internet before entering your hotel room. Because the internet in this room likes to play hide-and-seek with the devices. It gets disconnected every 2-3 minutes. For your reference, I am attaching a snapshot again.
Fifth, if you are thinking of a free morning breakfast, then please think what you would like to have in breakfast. Because you get only chocolate and blueberry muffins in the breakfast in this hotel. And the service is closed after 9:30am. So, if you donât like muffin, you can sleep late in the mornings in the weekends.
Sixth, the most disgusting fact I learned here is that rooms are cleaned once in six days if a guest continues staying for more than 9 days. This is what I was told in the reception. So, if you are messing up the floor or table or your bed and thinking that the room will be cleaned when you come back to your room in the evening, you are completely mistaken.
Last, but not the least, donât get surprised if your bath towels are not re-placed or you are not provided a bath soap or shampoo. Because you will have to ask for fresh towel or soap/shampoo yourself at the front desk after you provide your room no. The same also applies for toilet paper roll.
After going through all of the above, I still wonder why they charge 110...
Read moreMy experience at this hotel was horrible. I was originally booked for several weeks by my company as I was relocating back to SoCal. They had used this Extended Stay for dozens of other employees over the past few years, and spent several thousand dollars in the process.
I asked for a quiet room upon check-in and they put me next to the cleaning crew's room. Really? My second room had issues, so they moved me a third time. This room was also okay (still loud), until I woke up to a huge cockroach one morning. I didn't even have food in my room. I had seen a few around the property, but I was over it at this point. This hotel is simply unsanitary, inside and out.
Spend a few extra bucks and stay somewhere else...anywhere else. The property is old, the element it attracts is sketchy...even more so being it's in Irvine. There are comparable priced hotels far better than this one nearby.
Upon unpacking from my trip I realized a few items were amiss. I remembered I had placed my vintage Puma track jacket, and new Chiefton sweatshirt in the hotel dresser. It was hot during my stay, so I never used them and forgot they were in there. I contacted the hotel straight away, they said housekeeping hadn't turned anything in yet, but to check back in a few days. As instructed, I called back a few days later and got the same response.
As soon as I got back to town I stopped by. I explained the whole situation to the girl at the counter. She rudely explained they "inspect every room no matter if you change rooms or check-out". I said that the items should have been found then. I pointed out that if they weren't in my bag and they weren't in lost & found then they must have been stolen. She quickly got defensive and said "we don't steal here". I repeated what she just said about inspecting every room. It was simply a process of elimination at that point. She double-checked lost & found, and again came back empty handed. Her attitude on the matter was insult to injury at that point.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I wrote the manager. I literally included pictures of the missing items. Wendy Fregoso replied and was aware of my situation. She claimed to have asked the head of cleaning crew again and they told her nothing was found. I am 100% certain the items were left, and never made it from inspection to the lost & found. I even wrote to corporate Extended Stay for resolution with zero response.
I told a fellow employee my experience, he said he stayed there for a few months and had a similar issue. FAIL! This hotel obviously has a problem and needs to resolve it. Meanwhile their issue will cost them thousands as my company refuses to use them after hearing about my experience. All for $140 of...
