This was the absolute worst night I’ve ever spent at any hotel! We requested a handicap accessible room and it wasn’t accessible other than bars in the bathroom. It had a seat to use in the tub which didn’t actually fit into the tub and anyone with a disability wouldn’t have been able to get into the tub since you had to climb over the side of the tub. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned which was easy to discern since we moved a chair and discovered a stuffed animal which had been left by a previous patron. Also, there was a dead spider in the bathroom and a moth who was clinging to the wall. The adjoining room was occupied by meth addicts (easily identified at first sight the next morning) who stayed up ALL night! The rollaway bed they provided had a taco shaped mattress. We complained and checked out the next morning. We had planned to stay another night but chose to stay in Chillicothe which was well worth the drive. Breakfast was sparse unless you wanted dry cereal or waffles. They actually have a sign on the self serve breakfast buffet limiting the number of sausage and eggs per client. By the time we arrived for breakfast there were no eggs, sausage, milk, bread, pastries etc. Although I expressed our disappointment, the hotel management didn’t offer to waive or even discount the fee. I strongly recommend staying clear of this establishment if you enjoy sleep...
Read moreWebsite is so outdated... it says pet friendly.. i decided to be safe and call to check and NO there not pet friendly and was advised that the website has not been updated since last year when they changed the policy. Made our reservations on Tuesday, Friday when we got there some how the sauna was out of service, the hot tub is no longer there and the pool is really small and was dirty. The rule says under 18 must have an adult with them yet there was 3, 11 maybe 12 year old kids alone, and raising hell in the pool while the front desk just sat there on their phone. Apparently they will let people without rooms have a pool party and expect the paying guest to accommodate them. We was suppose to have had a room with double king bed.. they only had queen, couldn't upgrade us to a suite because we booked 3rd party and the hotel couldn't do anything in their system to accommodate their paying guest after we was told "sure we change anything as long as no one is in that room and it looks like the suites are empty this weekend" but no THEIR system they run cannot change what a 3rd party selects at their hotel even if we paid the difference. All around a unpleasant and very long stressful weekend that wasn't suppose to be and probably could have been better if we stayed...
Read moreThis has been my go-to hotel for several years, as I have family in the area and of the options in Jackson, this one has been the best. The indoor pool is a big part of that, and the grandkids still love it. But the hotel itself has really gone downhill. The staff are very friendly and working hard, but it honestly just feels like ownership doesn't want to invest anything into the hotel. It's very dated, and what they do have is in rough shape. The breakfast is just sad. The only hot option is waffles, everything is very carb heavy. They have a few containers of yogurt, packaged donuts, some single serve cereals, and a few packets of instant oatmeal. That's it. The beds are small, the bathrooms have crud in the corners, the remote is held together by tape, the furnishings are old and chipped, there are no modern touches like USB ports. And what is up with these sinks? I don't know what genius thought this up, but these were a horrible idea! You lose a lot of counter space (of which there wasn't much in the first place), and the sink is so high that a child or disabled person will have difficulty using it. Sad as it makes me, I think I may have to look elsewhere for my next family visit, possibly even Portsmouth or...
