Nasty Nasty Nasty! When we got into our room, the bathroom had toilet paper in it and urine. It had clearly not been cleaned! I told the management. He had somebody come to clean it. The guy that came to clean it did not speak english. He brought in a broom with a towel over it, a bottle of cleaner and a rag. He sprayed the toilet, use a dry rag to wipe it down with. Then he sprayed two spray on the floor and grab the broom that had the towel on it, and proceeded to wipe down the floor with it like it was a mop. Then he sprayed two sprays inside the tub, and proceeded to wipe the tub out (the bottom of it only) with the same broom and towel that he used on the floor! I was so grossed out that I called the manager to come to the room. While waiting for the manager I tried explained that he needed to use a rag in the tub not a nasty quote unquote mop! But because he didn't speak English, he didn't understand me. So I had to point to the rag and say this. Not That and point to them mop! So he grabbed the rag that he wipe the toilet down with and wipe the tub out with it! I told him no! Clean rag clean new! When the manager got there I told him I wanted a clean Rag and I wanted the bathroom cleaned properly! He translated for me. However, I had to spray the bathtub down take the clean rag that the guy went to get, wet it down and show him how to use it and how to wipe it ALL down. The manager asked me if I wanted to change rooms. There was no way I was going to another room that they cleaned the tub out with a broom. My daughter and I had no choice but to stay there. It was late when we got there maybe almost 2 a.m. It was absolutely disgusting! I had prepaid for 2 nights. The next day we went into New York and got back very late. When we came back the beds were made but the sheets were not changed. I know this because, I accidentally spilled a little bit of coffee on my bed sheet and the stain was still there when we got back. Because the cleaning people were in my room, my daughter and I both decided that we would not bathe! We knew that they probably use a nasty broom with a towel on it to wash the tub with after washing the floor! The only reason that I am not saying it should get a 0 Stars and, it should only get one star is because, the people were very nice! Other than that, it's gross! Even the carpet was gross! We wore our sandals in the room the whole time. The beds were hard as rocks. The pillows were flat and hard. There were some sort of stains on the walls. Somebody took a napkin and tore a piece off of it to put through the holes in the curtains to keep them closed so people walking by couldn't see in. And the room was extremely small. On a positive note, they did have cameras. I felt my car would be safe there. They say you got what you payfor. Well, this room was not worth the $100 that I paid! They should not be charging more than $25...
Read moreThe hotel charges $1.75 a night for the safe in the room (not advised on the website). The front door had to be “lifted” just to get the front door dead -bolt locked. The beds were so hard we had to look at the “mattresses”. It was 2 box springs with a “thin” padded layer on top, then the sheets & blankets were placed on the bed. The blankets on the beds had cigarette burn holes in them. The carpet was old & dirty. Housekeeping never vacuumed in the whole time we were there (the same crumbs on the floor when we arrived on day 1 were still there when we left on day 3). There was also tissues and other visible, thick dirt at the floor of the headboard of one of the beds that could have easily been cleaned had the housekeeper cleaned it from previous guests. We purposely placed a napkin on the floor on day 1 and it was still there on day 3. The beds were too big for the room. If they’d have left two full size beds it would have been easier to get around the room to the bathroom. The hair dryer didn’t work because the outlet was burnt out. We couldn’t move it to another outlet because it was bolted into the wall. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were not cut-to-size so there were “holes” in the ceiling. The toilet had not been cleaned properly the entire stay. You couldn’t set the heater any higher than 78, so during our stay, coming in from outside when the temp was 32 & lower, it wasn’t really warm in the room, AND it kept blowing cold air more than warm/hot air. The shower-head needed to have the washer changed because if you tried to adjust it, water would spray out and get the entire bathroom wet. The coffee & condiments in the room were not replenished after the first day. The toaster only “half” worked in the continental breakfast. The front desk, housekeeping & staff was REALLY nice & helpful when we asked for directions and how to get around. They had a good variety of stuff for the continental breakfast. The large flat-screen tv in the...
