Palace Inn 290 & Hwy 6 — Hotel in Jersey Village

It's obvious the owners have done an amazing job with this place inside and out. They have done an exceptional job that remodeling and paying attention to every detail. I'm giving this review five stars because the staff when I checked in it was very nice and cordial in the place has great curb appeal and the rooms are extremely clean and quite big with no bugs in the beds are extremely comfortable in the room even has a new couch. As good as the owners are paying attention to details they did miss one minor thing the refrigerator in the room does not work properly. Nobody's perfect and nobody can pay attention to every single detail so overall I give this place five stars. I Paid for a two day stay. It was night time when I checked in. The front desk guy which is the owner of the company said I would be checking out sun night after when conversed about what I needed. Sunday morning around 10:45am I wake up to an automatic call basically saying my check out time was for 11:00am. I give them a call immediately and all that the wife could tell me is that he may have made a mistake when he said that but the check out time is for 11:00am and that it would cost another $50 to stay until 6:00pm. I ran from a domestic violence situation and had to stay here for a few nights. The young man was very helpful and nice but the older man was rude. My friend came (during the day) to bring me and my mom some food since we have no car. He called the room and said we could not have visitors in our room. It does not say this anywhere on the reservation, the website or anywhere else on property. I respect not having people coming and going all hours of the night but this was nothing like that. Completely RIDICULOUS! I paid for my room and not bothering anyone so this doesn’t even make sense. So if you stay here, be prepared to few like you are...
