Dear Jersey Bagels,
Let me start by saying I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and have 2 young boys at home so absolutely nothing is easy right now lol. But your staff, specifically Rizzo and Boston Steph have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty for your store. I placed an order through Door Dash for 2 dozen bagels to take to my kids school for teacher appreciation week. I spoke with Rizzo the day before because I had a minor mess up on a previous order (no big deal at all, Rizzo also took care of that for me as well), just to make sure that this order would come through successfully since it was a rather large order for a special occasion. I scheduled it through Door Dash for a delivery by 7 am. Come the morning of the delivery, Door Dash decided to cancel the order. Needless to say I was really sad because I was really looking forward to taking these to the teachers. So I called Jersey Bagels and spoke to Boston Steph who is an absolute sweetheart as is Rizzo! She immediately pulled up my order and got to work on how to fix it. Shortly after I received a call from Rizzo saying that she was heading to me with my order personally. I seriously could have cried and no that is not just the pregnancy hormones! It had turned into a morning that everything was just not going how it should and they completely took it and turned it around for me. Their food will keep me coming back but to the owners, Boston Steph and Rizzo are the real reason why I will be coming back. Rizzo even brought me some extra goodies. I could not believe it!! That is truly top notch customer service. I don't think I can recall a time when I have received service like that. Thank you so much for fixing the situation even though really it wasn't yal's situation to fix. I will definitely be having a word with Door Dash as this is the second time they have cancelled my order unexpectedly from two different restaurants without any kind of notice. Boston Steph and Rizzo I hope you get a chance to read this and truly know how grateful I am for your service...
Read moreI recently visited Jersey Bagel and, unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Although my order was incorrect with the bagels being switched, I understand that mistakes happen, and this wasn’t a significant issue for me. Moreover, they had run out of the jalapeño bagel I wanted, and the associate at the front desk assured me that I would receive a refund for that.
The real problem arose when I was left waiting with no clear direction from the management on what to do next. I stood there unsure if anyone would assist me further. It was only when another store associate approached and asked if I had been helped that I responded with "kinda." Her abrupt reply, questioning "what does that mean?" left me quite taken aback and highlighted where customer service was lacking.
Overall, while the food at Jersey Bagel is commendable, the experience was marred by the deficiency in customer service. Better handling of such situations and clearer communication would greatly enhance the customer experience.
Edit: In response to the owner's comment
Hello,
Thank you for responding, but I must express my disappointment with your reply. It's quite telling that the real issue was not understood—it wasn't about the bagel mix-up but rather the lack of effective communication and customer service. It's important to grasp that customer service is about more than just the product; it's about how customers feel treated. Your response seems to miss this point entirely. The interaction with your staff, particularly the dismissive comment "what does kinda mean?", reflects a broader issue. It’s clear where your staff gets their customer service approach. I hope this experience serves as a point of reflection for better service standards. Wishing you and your team a successful Thanksgiving.

Look at the pics of what you served me, Paper thin egg, paper thin microwaved sausage, paper thin government yellow cheese and you rob me for $8.75 each not including tax! And I even ordered 1 without cheese but you still charged me full price of $8.75 keep on robbing. 1 Bagel w/cream cheese $2.99 oh wait but if you upgrade to blueberry cream cheese its $2.01 EXTRA!!! just for the spread!!! $2.01 MORE!!!!!!!!’ KEEP ON ROBBING!!! Holy mother of jesus Where are we Communist San Francisco, CA? No this is the Great state of TEXAS! People actually from NJ how can you justify these absurd prices come on you know better!!
Does the bagel itself taste like NJ sure maybe somewhat close, but do you import the bread, cheap cheese, eggs directly from NJ and that’s why you charge these ridiculous prices? I don’t think so. You could’ve use quality cheese but no instead use government cheap cheese! I was just in NJ and got the real authentic sausage, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich for $4.50!!!!!!!! in New Jersey it costs less! Doesn’t make sense!
I’m originally from NJ so don’t even say I don’t know what I’m talking about. I drove 80mins round trip to get robbed blind for some so called NJ bagels.
Oh almost forgot, they even charged me a hidden 2% “Service charge”WHAT?!! Keep on robbing. Oh of course they swing the ipad around asking for a tip after all this robbing, ok I still tipped $5 not realizing I been a victim of “Robbery of the century” Look at my receipt!!!!! Proof is there Wait til I tell my NJ friends about this robbery experience!
Get out of here Bernie Madoff I mean Jersey Bagels...
