RoadRunners Coffee Drive Thru — Restaurant in Jersey Village

The coffee is solid at best and yes it’s fast, but that’s because it’s premade. So you are without a doubt sacrificing speed for quality. There is 0 chance this place gets 5 stars with honest reviews. There is never any other customers there when I go or drive by, which is multiple times a day , and as of late, they have started to do a lot of BOGO deals on Uber which is never a good sign.

And “resting” espresso doesn’t mean you just pull a bunch of shots of espresso to chill LOL… do you even know what the term resting means in coffee? Y’all are probably just using a cold brew concentrate or something, but a quick google search will show your completely wrong in what resting is and no it is not industry standard to premake espresso in any decent coffee shop. I drove 40 minutes to try this place because of all the positive reviews and non artificial ingredients. I got a lavender matcha and my boyfriend got a vanilla bean and brown sugar latte. Both were not good. The matcha didn’t have good flavor and I couldn’t really taste any lavender, my boyfriend’s latte tasted like instant coffee. We both got oat milk and it had a very slimey texture and taste. It’s made in house so it must not have been made correctly or got a bad batch.I would much rather wait 5+ minutes for well made drink rather than less than a minute for a below average drink. I can see the appeal in getting your drinks ready in less than a minute but with that, flavor and quality will be compromised and that was the case here. I would maybe suggest buying oat milk rather than making it so it doesn’t have such a weird texture and flavor. I would also suggest removing the 1min drink time to focus on bettering the quality of drinks even though I understand that that’s the company’s catch...

Saw this coffee stand while driving by. Ordered the ‘Lavendar Haze’ drink with their in house Oat Milk. The mix of Lavendar and Vanilla flavor was perfect without being overpowering of each other. The espresso was strong without tasting bitter and was seamless with the Lavendar and Vanilla flavors. The oat milk added the perfect amount of nuttiness. Also, they are not kidding about the “fast or it’s free”. They gave us a timer than counted Down 60 seconds. We didn’t even blink before our drinks were in our hand. I’ve never gotten such a good Lavendar coffee in that short of amount of time much less any coffee drink in that fast of time, and I’m from the PNW where there is drive through coffee stands on every corner.

Congrats to Gabe and Jordan, the founders of this coffee place. They are really nice and friendly guys and they really have a great concept for this business. The service concept is unlike any I have encountered. I definitely recommend this coffee...
